The overall difference is that you just have to know very well the directions and theme that you are going for, as they will not be giving you much suggestions. So, definitely have to do alot of research on your own!

Hello, usually there is a "standard" measurements if you don't have any special requirements. You can decide whether you want cupboards or drawers and they will be able to give you some standard drawings usually.

The appliances came with the China power plug heads and I use an adapter for those appliances. You can change the head on your own (there are some tutorial videos available), I’m just too lazy 😅

Hi i love shopping for small items from Taobao as well but have never really indulge on the furniture ever since I was charged S$700ish for the shipment of one office chair. Am wondering if there’s a better way to go about dealing with the shipment of furnitures. Are we able to just rent a container or sort n can freely fill it up? Or how did you manage to arrange here? Did you use airfreight for that? Airfreight charges by volume weight, so for bulky stuff it’s definitely not worth it. I used a third party forwarder (Eklink) for all my furniture shipments. It’s more affordable as they charge by per CBM. you can check out their website/fb page for more info

It’s 160cm, and no special reinforcements. The seller did mention the max weight it’s able to handle, and I don’t put very heavy stuff on it. Hope this helps!

I shipped all taobao purchases via a 3pf - EKLink. You can either get the seller to do extra protection (打木架) for you for fragile items, if not you can request the 3PF to help too, at additional charges.

Hi Maggie, Maybe you can do a video on your experience with the Consolidation Shipper for your TB purchases, especially that you have received a broken table top. Are you able to share 1) cost for the shipping, I understand that most shipper charge by m3 or weight, whichever is higher in most cases? 2) custom duties and how to settle them? For the shipper that you have engaged, I saw a $50 permit cost listed on their website, is that suppose to cover the custom duties? 3) did they transport your goods to your home address? Thanks for sharing your reno experience, 25K to include furnishings is a real deal!

I would say the biggest disadvantage is that you are losing space by overlaying the tiles, but it’s definitely a cheaper option esp if your current tiles are still in good condition

You’ll need a lighting point on the wall behind the mirror! For the curtain track i bought from the official shop on taobao. Is yours rejected due to over length? I used a 3pf (Eklink) for shipping for all the bulky furnitures. They don’t have such restrictions.
