@toucandan8989 no, the only time you hurt the amp is when you run it over its potential, but when you do that to the amp, it also gives the sub distortion which hurts the sub too. and subs dont "beg" for more power. it is a simple conversion of electrical energy to moving a coil with a magnet. under powering it will only make the coil move less, not damage it. but distortion is what kills both the sub and the amp.

@loudsoundman the reason they say that under powering can do damage is because people try to use small amps to power big subs. if you max out a small amp, you will get distortion. distortion is what destroys subs. so as long as you dont peak out on a small amp, you will be fine.

I agree that the subs don't look like they're moving as much as they could be but that's a clean setup i bet it sounds great... and judging by the doors flexing and the iphone hopping on the center console i bet its a lot louder than people think

I still got my T2s Im running one of em ATM as my daily. Its the 2004 first gen silver top T2 15" D2 wired down to 1 ohm on a Taramps HD3k it's in a 5.25 cube enclosure with 3.98 cubes Airspace tuned at 33hz. Dude it's pretty wicked lol. I got 3 of em ATM two T2 15" D2s and one T2 15" D4 all silver top 1st gens. And I also got the 10"s and 12"s iv collected over the yrs and also same with the T1 10"s 12"s and 15"s it's been a rough road chasing em down but iv collected em n snatch em up when I find em at a good deal. Gotta think they was once over 2k new the MSRP of the 15" D2 was $2,550 bucks the 12"s $2350 and the "10 was over $1500 from what I can gather. Plus two of my 12"s and one of my 15"s are brand new still factory sealed and the 15" has the original receipt from 2005 and it was $2400 bucks n some change. That's crazy thinking back to that time that was big money then. But Rockford has stayed around that with the new T2 and T3 subs and the T1 15" is $1,000 or so.. it's crazy how expensive these was but now I know why. mine are now 17 yrs old and my daily that replaced my Zv4 12" and my VXf 15" ect this T2 15" is a low Serial number subwoofer it's still practically brand new still stiff no dents no scratches no scuffs nothing and it's been playing for 17 yrs now. It's crazy lol that's quality man..

@mariosam2 Those T40001bd's put out a little over 4k wrms and the T2's handle 1000 rms. I believe they're fully powered, but he doesn't have em cranking 100%.

@TRTC360 once a t2 is blown all that can be done is to make an 8 out of it because the motor is so weak it wont provide the linear force or fit onto a larger basket, sometimes there are 3 spiders on them and sometimes there are 2 or 1, its like they just throw them together. the baskets are made of plastic and the former isnt even coated. not to mention the shotty winding on each and every t2 coil, the coils are 4 layer oxygenated copper, which means poor heat dissapation and the t/s is awful

@dannnny25 excursion doesnt necessarily make spl. the loudest guys in the world run like 60+ hz which equals not alot of cone movement but loud ass #s. actually if the same amp was used on 2 of the subs it prolly wouldnt be louder cuz he cut cone area in half. power to each sub doubles but dont really get any louder from the loss of cone area

you cannot tune subs in a sealed box. they port them with special designs inside the box to tune them to 34 hrz and such. the only reason to seal a box is if your putting them in a sealed trunk.

@mariosam2 probably not underpowered considering the amp. The amp is obviously under rated so I'm guessing the birth sheet puts it between 4700-5000W RMS @ 1 ohm. His system requires 4000W RMS. So assuming its wired correctly to 1 ohm then its powered very nicely.

hey man those subs shouldnt have an individual port if their running off the same amp only if each pair of subs have their own amp nice setup but who ever instaled that did it wrong you should only have 1 massave port about 240 cu sq inches becasue all those subs going off 1 signal which is that t40001bd by the way love the amp im getting one of those im putting in 4 cvx15 kickers look out you tube!!!

hey looking good but t2's are serious subs i think they can take some more power. i installed a setup with 4 12' t2s and it had the same 3000bd amp. you could probably hook up another one if you could find anywhere to put it.

Fosgate even brought back the old school Punch amps because they were pushing out way more power than what they were rated at...that's the main reason peeps was going with them back in the day. I'll have to agree with you on Fosgate being a good everyday brand they're not really meant for competitions.
