I have one suggestion. When comes to wipes I use Wet Ones in the round plastic containers. You pull the wipes thru the lid. 40 wipes per container. When you finish a container you can pour left over solution into next container which helps next container of wipes stay more wet. Then rinse out empty container and use for storage ( change,keys, cash etc.). I’m a truck driver these wipes really came in handy when my hands got dirty and I hand no place to wash them. Also, I found they were great for cleaning my steering wheel. Hope this helps.

I love that you care about the environment and take the time to be ethical about it. I cringe when I hear about people coming to Idaho. Our environment has truly suffered because of the covid invasion. I find myself picking up other people's trash when I could be hiking or exploring. Thank you and thank you to anyone that reads this that also does their part.

Good stuff! I know that we have never met, but I wanted to let you know that I am proud of you. Many people, when it comes to using power tools for the first time, would tap out and just hire a company to complete their build. You set a goal and nailed it. In my 4Runner. I installed a Rig'd rear tire carrier(which I noticed you installed) and a Long Range America 24 gallon auxiliary gas tank. The gas tank is expensive, no lying there. I can spend weeks in the wild with proper water filtration and a decent amount of food. Having 47 gallons(23 stock/24 auxiliary) of fuel on hand helps tremendously. And, no fuel pax/jerrys to deal with. Safe travels and much health for you both... Cheers.
@laurenashleyga3 жыл бұрын
Wow! Thank you so much! Also, your rig sounds awesome! We definitely will be adding a water tank (thinking the wheel shaped ones that go in the stock spare tire mount), maybe one day we'll install a fuel system like yours, it sounds awesome! First we will add larger tires and a rear locking dif, then my next attempt at a DIY will be a super low profile rooftop tent made from extruded aluminum and aluminum composite with a clamshell hybrid design. I've grown tired of sleeping next to dirty dogs! lol

Thanks for sharing your setup, I’m looking forward to your adventures. Also, what are the laws pertaining to carrying your shotgun and handgun in parks and across state lines. Bravo on that drawer system! Have you considered using Velcro on the underside of your lids? Then maybe mount some led light strips that trigger when you open them. Or even mounting any other lightweight items that way. Thanks for the video and the inspiration. Just got my 5th gen a week ago. 3rd 4runner I've owned (3rd and 4th gen previously). I didn't have the rig out bug until this one though!

Great build your is the most organized I have ever seen I like all the small pack bags to keep things separated and organized. One question I noticed your rear windows trim panels are missing 13:06 ,do they just snap off & on, if not how to they attach? @@laurenashleyga thanks for the response. I might be in the market for a 180 awning soon. Just waiting on another sale from OVS. Solid set-up!
@laurenashleyga3 жыл бұрын
@@Slick_Shot_Sam thanks! If you want to access the back of the 4Runner, you have to mount it pretty high, so I know lots of ppl prefer the 180 for this reason. We wanted coverage and rain protection over the back where we cook so opted for 270. We're waiting for some folding awning brackets to lower the profile of the awning when we are not using it though.
