Here in the Midwest I applied Prodiamine WDG, watered in. Starter fert. to help that 4 week old new grass. Cutting twice a week and looking forward to another dose of winter fert. Then cutting twice a week to mulch up them leaves. 👍😁

He’s the deal with soil test. Get one done and I’d suggest early spring. Find out what’s lacking. Try to find fertilizer that may have what you need. If you consistently keep getting good results with what you are using then you don’t need a test but every 3 or 4 years but it’s not necessary all the time. My last soil test was like 3-4 seasons ago. Here’s the trick. A strong pre emergent program with constant mowing practices and 3 fertilization a year and you’ll have a better lawn without all the guess work. 👍🏾

I just moved to NC and this yard is new to me and the yard is only about 15 years old. The front looks okay on the side, i have a few patches from trash bins, and a dew weeds in the very front. The backyard looks like it was never treated and it's just that stuff they throw on new construction lawns. I'm not 100% sure what to do with it besides cutting it and putting some 3&1 on it.

Actually September 15 is my recommended day. As for the Bio advanced I’d wait at least 60 days before another app of preemergent. I’d also recommend reading the Bio Advanced directions to see if they caution against that.

We payed Bermuda grass 7/4/20 & it did ok did give it fertilizer after 6 weeks, & watered good to get it established, & when started to cut it started at 3.5 on mover height, & sometime down to 3, but every time we cut it, it seems to go brown!.,. In a week after good watering it would start to go green again... but do not understand what’s up with every time it is cut, it goes a bit brow. What could this possibly be? It could be a lot of things. Blade is dull or on upside down. I’d cut her mow often. Over fertilizing or not apply at recommended rate. Get soil test to see if you missing a nutrient that may need to be added. Cutting a damp lawn can cause that affect. Cutting the lawn when temps are to high. So review this and maybe 🤔 it will guide you to success 👍🏾

I’d suggest no, here’s why. Even though you have grass after 5 weeks it’s still not fully established. Adding a plant pre emergent could stunt the root development. Yes you’ll probably get weeds or some weeds but now is not the time to put down a prevention. I’d keep her cut and well feed and bag the clippings if weeds start to show 🆙.
