I’ve had issues every year with poa with no luck from other pre emergents. Bit the bullet and bought the smaller bottle of Spectacle Flo. Put it down at max rate a few days ago. Fingers crossed it works. So frustrating to have poa every spring.

You should show box store alternatives for us when presenting your professional herbacides because there’s plenty of us who are still learning and are not as confident to be spending a grand on professional herbicides.

From 8:43 to 9:45 I personally disagree about specticle doing anything whatsoever to American Burnweed aka Fireweed when applied in the fall. It’s not gonna last from fall to April not to mention be very effective anyways. Especially for the cost. It’s better for poa annua when applied in the fall. I have heard simazine can be decent on burnweed but it also delays the GreenUp. Haven’t tried simazine past February myself. Maybe a half a qt per acre in early April will control burnweed but how much would it delay GreenUp??? Great info regardless

Hello. How long would you wait to spray preemergent for new sod hybrid bermuda?

I had an issue after I mowed a month ago where the ST, Aug died in the tracks of the lawn mower tires in several locations. You could actuclly see straight trails of damage from each swipe. Any ideas? Did I cut when it was too hot during dry weather?

How would I take care of the weeds without killing worms and biology in the soil? I've been focusing on building soil life up in my yard, but everything that I have studied says these chemicals kill soil life. I just read a article that said Glyphosate give worms seizures at 300 time the lowest mix rate.

Thank you for your videos. I have learned a lot from you. I am an homeowner and treating my own lawn and have a question for you. Does the surfactant affect the pre-emergent (SpecticleFlo and Simazine) from working and creating the needed barrier? If so, should I apply the pre-emergents without the surfactant in one application and then apply the post-emergent products with the surfactant as a second app?
@lawncarelife2 жыл бұрын
I would not make separate applications. I don't remember ever being asked that question but I get good results mixing the surfactant in with all of the products. If you're just spraying a pre-emergent alone, you would not need a surfactant
@OurTubePlace2 жыл бұрын
@@lawncarelife Thank you for replying. Then I will make one application.

What do you recommend for burweed in st Augustine/ centipede? I ordered isoxaben but haven’t put it out yet. I’m in southeast Alabama and my wife is going to kill me if I don’t get rid of them! Thanks!

What is your opinion on “winterization” fertilizers? Many companies in my area offer this as an extra treatment, but it doesn’t seem necessary to fertilize dormant/almost dormant Bermuda.

THIS IS THE PERFECT TIME TO SPRAY NUT SEDGE, DALLIS GRASS, BROOM SEDGE AND VA. BUTTONWEED. THEY WILL BE WEAKER DURING THE WINTER CHILL AND COME BACK LESS STRONG IN THE SPRING.I ADD RECOMMENDED POST-EMERGENCE WITH MY SPECTICLE FLO EACH FALL.
@lawncarelife2 жыл бұрын
Do you feel like it reduces the nutsedge population year over year?
@bassmaster19532 жыл бұрын
@@lawncarelife I DO. TIMING IS EVERYTHING. THE PLANTS GO MONTHS WITH A WEAKENED ROOT SYSTEM. DEPENDING ON THE TYPE OF NUT SEDGE, THE PROPER CHEMICAL WILL GREATLY REDUCE NEXT YEAR'S POPULATION. YELLOW NS TENDS TO THRIVE IN WET CONDITIONS. PURPLE NS PREFERS DRIER CONDITIONS. WATERING ACCORDING TO GROUND MOISTURE IS IMPORTANT.
