Was the recruiter Muslim? If not, it’s not appropriate to give them salam. It doesn’t make sense to interact with non-Muslims the same way you would with Muslims to begin with. If you really want to test them, tell them you’re Muslim after you get the offer or maybe even during the interview and explain to them your needs like prayer, not shaking hands with non-mahram, fasting, etc. so I don’t agree your approach even though I get your idea. May Allah reward you.

One thing to note regarding the thrid principle is: Scolars did their due diligence and made a big effort to come to this conclusion, however, this conclusion might not be right or correct. Every Mulsim should do their hard work and due diligence going back to Quran and Sunna to find the right thing to do. Let's say you are hired as a Software Engineer in an Auto Mobile industry, and you're a part of a team who makes softwares for cars. If someone buys the car to bomb or kill innocent people using it, according to some scolars you are a part of it, and this is wrong. You are only held liable for the purpose of creating the car (which is going from point A to point B).

Thank you for this insightful and helpful video may Allah Bless you all, however I think you've missed an important matter to talk about in this field which in the case of remote jobs the developer must have a credit card and a bank account that work with that card eg: visa and Paypal to withdraw his salary and most of them if we didn't say all work with interest "Riba" keeping it mind a lot of us could get into it without knowing . Thus I really want you to make a video about this matter because it's so important knowing that Riba is a major sin and if there's any fatwa that keeps us working remotely and have an alternative to these ways. thank u

Try to find sharia banks in your country. If you can't then make your intention of depositing money for work and not for the riba. Because I've seen people who intentionally looking for banks that has the highest riba. You can also count the riba and avoid using it. Some opinions say the riba can be used to donate to public facility

What if there are multiple clients and some of them are questionable. Assume an ecommerce app allowing people.to sell anythint and pay using crypto or fiat, tech wise it would be general like sellers can post any sort of product and its images its upto them fully. But for some special clients like some NFTs the company may ask the engineer to do some special collab specific to them like super discounts and highlignting that NFT collection in the app.

Assalamualekum Sheikh, I work in Cyber Security Division of an IT Company. The Products that the company develops are related to : 1. Money laundering 2. Checking financial credibility of a person for obtaining a loan. 3. Detecting fraud financial transaction, communicating to customer whether they can get a loan, etc. All of these softwares are mostly purchased by banks and financial instutions. I do not develop these softwares but all these software go via my team. We run all sort of security scans and implement controls to ensure these softwares are security proof. Is my job halal?

Im thinking. According to the sheikh, if we built a generic software lets say ai chat. It can be useful for people who wants to learn, and it also can easy for people to find haram information Ok, if this was the case, I'm thinkking what if a muslim built the first car? People can drive car to go to mosque, at the same time people can use the car to go to haram places How about the light/lamp? It can be used in mosque and home which is useful. At the same time people can use lamp at night clubs. If only a muslim who invents lamp, does he sin? How about lets i started my company producing slippers? People can go to mosque with the slipper and also go to club. How about my company producing bed? Normal people will just sleep on bed, and some people will do haram relationship on bed All in all Actually, i agree with the sheikh but when I'm thinking about these another examples, i got confused.
