A number of things here. My apartment is a mess! Partly because I broke my leg (very badly) earlier this year so it's been hard to keep on top of things. Now I'm learning to walk again, so I want to transform out of the mess in my apartment i.e. declutter big time and also transform out of the very limited mobility towards getting back to a 'normal' life again and rejoining society! I have also recently decluttered a 'friend' out of my life who was being horribly negative and rude so I feel much better now I am moving forward from that toxic situation. I am excited for the New Year and to be transforming into a much better person!

For me acceptance has been the biggest thing. Rather than constantly fighting with 'shoulds'. Now I accept there are going to be tough times and I plan for them. And by planning for them I have managed to reduce their impact and length of time. And I now know when to ask for help.

Excellent strategy. Two key concepts that have taken me huge leaps forward are taking 100% responsibility for my life (inner and outer) and attaining emotional independence.

Interestingly, I am not transforming from something negative... but this video is extremely helpful for me right now. My oldest child is getting married in 2 days and I am a puddle of emotion. It is a wonderful thing- I am not losing a son, but gaining a daughter, but it is still a major life change, and I needed this video today. I have been trying to walk him through the decluttering process as he moves into a new home with his bride this week. What an experience!

Honestly speaking..... sometimes I have fear of leaving my negative space since its my comfort zone....like having bad friends but being afraid to lose them since you fear being alone.... I don't know but sometimes getting over your fears could be so difficult. Accept, observe, release....the hard part is release.....like its so hard..... observing and accepting is kind of easy..... For me I feel like I can't journal my feelings on a paper, I can think alot about it but i just can't write my feelings down....also I can't open up to someone since I'll later feel bad. The transform part I haven't really understood that part...... Fear is a killer of dreams. 😔😔 I

I feel like I kinda messed myself up more… Short background story- I got sick with health and mental health issues in my 20s and was isolated for awhile Fell into buying collecting horror and movies Props all that Games, fell into habits staying up on phone Sleeping all day Not getting out much Then mid 20s went out more Bought Tons of clothes and sneakers Then met a girl off on toxic for 7 years We break up, Covid happens My dad dies in front of me Fell into weed and alcohol Started seeing my life more Overthinking Who am I? What do I have to change to be with someone good Seeing we don’t keep anything when we die I quit weed, alcohol, got off my psych meds same time (big mistake) cut off ppl who weren’t good for mental Cut off friends who smoked drank did drugs Got off all social media And the. Ended up isolated again Now I’m mid 30s so far behind and tryin to change it all Problem is I feel bored now less I have I never replaced the weed, alcohol, social media Friends Just took away and didn’t add Been trying to declutter sell clothes, games, movies Stop collecting It’s like I don’t kno who I am So much change so quick …. Sorry for the long post

What if it’s your marriage?
@amyli092
@amyli092 Жыл бұрын
Communication is THE MOST important thing to have in a marriage. If that part of the marriage only continues to go sideways, or if your partner continues to exhibit behaviors that are opposite to growth and change, then that would be something to take note of and consider in whether or not it's worth it in the end. Keeping in mind here that while I don't have any personal experience to go off of in terms of how to break off a toxic or abusive marriage, the one thing that I do know is that your life and well-being is always important. Sharing that life with someone on an intimate level takes work, but if you feel like you're sharing it with the wrong person, then please consider your own needs first.
