The most important thing is to relax. If you're tense and stiff then you're throat muscles and diaphram will be to. Your voice can never be its best when you're not relaxed physically. Its the same reason anxiety makes you stutter and speak quietly, anxiety creates tension in your muscles and causes shallow breathing. Do box breathing, slow breaths, anxiety work and so on.

You made this video just for me. I believe (and still do) that my husband needs to get his hearing checked, because he doesn’t understand what I’m saying. He has said that I need to enunciate more clearly. Well, I will work on it thanks to your video 😉

This is with regard to reading , not so much voice. When u r reading by urself, would u read (in ur mind) slowly as u would read out loud.

I mix it up. Totally depends.

Hi thank you 🙏 . What was most useful?
@florianc.24104 ай бұрын
The most useful to me was the exercise of slow speaking with a little exaggeration, to make conscious blanks after a sentence and also your breathing exercise. And all in one to speak with more consciousness. Everything in this short video was useful to me. I really appreciate daily exercises that are most effective like your videos. It seems to me that you are smart and wise with a good sense of humour and a good ability of empathy like a good teacher. And you have a great gift for speaking and acting. Thank you very much!🙏🏼 🙂☀

Really helpful tips! I've always struggled to enunciate clearly, but Darren's steps made it seem so simple. I'm definitely going to practice speaking more slowly and deliberately from now on. Thanks for sharing your expertise, Darren!

I practice piano pieces slowly and deliberately to eventually work up the muscle memory to play them at the correct speed, so I don't know why I never thought to do the same with my voice.
