I am glad I found you. As someone with a stutter, anxiety that has resulted in a very quick speaking habit with a lot of mumbling and extremely bad pronunciation, I have a lot work to do. So thank you for your videos that have been very helpful on this journey

Sometimes, if I am reading long stories, or doing a lot of filming. However, I do your warmups every morning, and I encourage my students to do the same! I'd love to get into voice acting in the future.@@vocabilities

Thank you for this video, I stumbled across it and have some homework to work on now! :) I seem to struggle with being heard or finding people who want to listen and always attributed it to being young, but it doesn’t change as time moves forward.

20:36 Thanks so much for your videos, Darren. The content always resonates for me and, interestingly, I often find there are comments in them that are motivating to step outside of my comfort zone, take a risk and let the joy for what I’m intending to share be heard. As in just here you spoke about being on a journey and to share that. ☺️ Unexpected and thank you. It’s encouraging. xx

I hadn't thought about voice in function of its bodily resonance before! It makes quite a lot of sense. Nevertheless I wouldn't mind you expanding on that topic. :)

Can you do a video on improving voice tonality? I have issues with having a monotone voice. If it matters, I have a pretty deep voice and I suspect that might have something to do with it.

So, I'm a writer. And I'm tentatively exploring the possibility of reading my novel for the audio book. (my prologue is on my YT) To be sure, I'm not using a pro mic, just my headset, which is high quality and has served me well, but not the tool for this job. I think the warmth and resonance you speak of is something I lack and something I wish to develop, if possible. I'm just curious of what I might be able to do with my voice, before I bow out and leave it to the true professional voice artists, people I respect very much. I don't think my voice has an attraction or magnetism, for instance like your voice, or the voice of Laurence Fox, or David Lee Garver. These are voices that magnetize me, and they have a warmth that I'm not able to produce. Thank you for your content. I'm going over it with a fine-tooth comb.

I certainly wouldn’t recommend a headset for voice over. Proper studio mics will help your resonant tones a lot, as they pick up a more dynamic spectrum of sound. Interestingly I do have a Voice over course if you wanted to go into detail and do this professionally? There’s50% off until 15 th should you be interested…. vocabilities.teachable.com/p/the-complete-voice-over-starter-kit?preview=logged_out

I would like start by saying many thanks for the content you are providing are very helpful. Hence, please do you think there is correlation between persons tooth indentation with his voice articulation? I am asking because I have some tooth gaps in my lower jaw and recently I went to dentist with the goal of installing those tooth adjustment device the doctor suggested I should not do it.

Hi Darren thank you for your videos. I wonder if you can help me please. Basically for many years I've been struggling with my voice. It's hard to explain but there are instances where my voice is fine especially in the morning its nice and deep, my throat feels lubricated and has good projection. When I get to the afternoon and longer through the day my throat becomes more dry and I feel more vocal strain when I talk, I feel like it takes more effort to bring words out. I work as a healthcare professional so I usually talk alot with patients so it can be a struggle and it affects my confidence immensely. For some reason drinking more water or taking soothers makes my voice even worse. I do also get the problem of constantly having to clear my throat, I've thought it might be acid reflux but I tried medication and has not made a difference. It could be I have alot of mucus. Sorry for the long message just wondering if you have any suggestions please. I really appreciate it 🙏

I often find it hard to stay in good tall posture and remain relaxed...any tips?
@vocabilities10 ай бұрын
Firstly you can’t fight it and try holding yourself up consciously. You need to work at it gradually through exercises and lifestyle changes that will begin to open you up more.

is there any video on how you stretch use your mouth with certain letters or vowels . example, to say, fundamental one might put their lower lip under teeth for ‚f’ sound and for word ,really, one might stretch their mouth wide …is there any video on this and also what is this module or subject called in English to learn mouth movements?
@vocabilities10 ай бұрын
It’s not a method I would use, far too aggressive, so unfortunately I can’t help on this one!
@gaganxs10 ай бұрын
@@vocabilities but you have used this technique yourself - i saw you holding lower lip with teeth to say a word starting with letter f and therefore asked - its in your video on your website in which you had outlined one of the course. i can send you the link.
