I agree, there is no such thing as the _"ultimate state of minimalism"._ It's a constant journey, and it's good to be gentle with yourself, as your hobbies and preferences change with time. Ultimately, it's about having a certain mindset. Applying the minimalist philosophy to your everyday life. Thanks for the inspiration!

I find minimalism starts with how we think and sometimes how we grew up. A lot of my childhood and experiencing financial constraints has greatly influenced how I buy today, or more accurately, how little I buy today :) Thanks for sharing this video!

Thank you Christine for that video. What helps me the most during decluttering is to make a picture of a thing that I feel attached to and then to throw it away. So I can "have" the thing not having it really. Then I keep all the pictures in "SOUVENIR" folder on my PC and revisit when I feel like to. All the best, God bless.

It gives me great comfort to be a maximumalist. You see, no matter how much I have there is never too much. I never have to worry or be concerned one bit about decluttering or getting rid of anything. It gives me great peace never having to concern myself whether I have too much or ever throwing anything away. Piles of goods puts me in a Zen state of contentment to "doing nothing and it all gets done."--Lao Tzu

Thank you for your inspiration. Yes, definitely, would love a series like that. It's frustrating in trying to figure out what to get rid of and how minimal should one be? This is especially difficult when you live with other people who are not in a minimal state of mind nor wish to be.

after i moved out of home, my goal was to travel, work, and staying in one place for 6 months and move on. that was a goal I never fulfilled. look back after 40 years wish i had that as my end goal. my end goal now is to do what I originally had in my heart. we can stop doing what makes us happy. please don't wait until your too old. I now believe only having 2 of each item except for clothes which i feel we should have 8 pieces of tops 4 of pants, two dresses, two pants. two shoes and two runners. you arrive with nothing leave with nothing.

For many years, I have stopped buying gifts to my friends. Instead, I have our local florist deliver a bouquet of flowers to them. My friends love flowers, and at least they're don't end up with a gift they don't want that clutters their home.

Thank you very much for this video. I am looking forward to your new series about minimalism. Your videos inspire me to stay on the path. As for the "end goal", I agree, that there is never a real end goal as we all continue to change. What is enough for today may not be enough in the future as our life changes. But as long as we are mindful along the way, we stay minimalistic in a way we need/want it.

Hi Christine, Buying an item should start from existing need. Like, you buy things only for existing need. If you first see the item and need time to think about if you need it, you actually don't. You just decide to want it.

The best way to live! My mom is a hoarder and currently has three bedrooms and one of the rooms downstairs , the attic and the shed filled with junk from top to bottom. You can’t even walk in- and it’s stressing the entire family out. I think it’s mainly due to her abusive relationship. ( AKA my dad the abuser ). I want to do so much with the house, as in modernise it and making it minimal. It’s depressing. 😭🤚

This is a great video. Cuz I working on my to becoming a minimalist at my cottage. I made a video about that I built my new desk and finally got rid of my big old ugly desk. It’s in my KZbin Channel showing my new desk with a lot less clutter and more roomy area. I really happy I’d did that. But I’m still working on in my cottage to become a minimal life. My mother moved to Virginia about 3 months ago. It gave me more free time to start declutter my cottage. I still like your patio settings still so Cool. See you in the next one. God Bless. I love tidiness and only owning what you need and/or love, but you don't need to dress like a rag doll. And those walls are crying out for a splash of colour even if you paint a few abstract paintings yourself.
