I did a lot of guests podcasts. But never had a great social media following from it yet. I even did a TEDx. Marketing has been challenging for me so far. I have tried multiple things. I have been trying to networking & trying to connect and it has been slow & a little discouraging. So I invested in a vision board portrait to keep me going. I just got it printed today & will frame it. I really believe that what I am writing about can help people. It has already blown my mind in how I have seen this model has helped people. I will continue to watch your channel to learn & see the things that help. A couple of your videos have already helped me. Thank you 🙏

I think the best thing you could do is find where your ideal readers are hanging out already and find a way to get in front of them. This might be connecting with influencers who are already in the space or writing articles for publications. Trying to build your own following can be very slow. As for podcasts, have you watched this video? kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqKUimasjrCDq7s I'm cheering for you!

I had a lot of strategies, many did not work. I have others in a list, but have had to adjust as I go. I have decided to use social media, a blog, and a membership to go with the book. I am also trying to publish articles, reaching out to press and to try to build partnerships. Thanks for the video, Your breakdown helped.

Julie I absolutely love this video. Your four strategies make tons of sense but for me seems like I am strategy four. However house with other things I will yield to you and your team.
@camoflage618213 жыл бұрын
Fantastic comparison between strategies, Julie. My approach has been more like #4 for the last few books and it's worked. But I learned with my first release to always temper one's expectations for initial sales. The first month of my first book's release had my emotions moving from total confidence to seeing if Walmart needed a new greeter. I'm better now.
@BookLaunchers3 жыл бұрын
HAHAHAH I had the rudest woman greet me at Walmart last month. My son had a 'dress as your favorite book character day' at school so I was looking for a dinosaur costume. I went into Walmart and asked the greeter and she looked at me and said "You know it's April and Hallowe'en isn't until October? Why would we have a costume?" I turned to my son and said 'let's go'. We found one at a party store. :p
@camoflage618213 жыл бұрын
@@BookLaunchers LOL...good for you! When we first moved to Indiana, the two Walmarts I attended each had greeters who...well, I don't know what they thought they were supposed to be doing, but "greeting" sure didn't make their list. I am not a tattletail by nature but I wrote Corporate about this. Now they greet me, and everyone, just fine. Now, back to writing. :)
