He’s soooo right about movement. Even when I’m at my worst, a walk outside makes me feel a bit better.

Im going for walks almost everyday, because Im scared of it all getting even worse. But NEVER, even once, has a walk outside made me feel better. If anything, i often feel slightly worse the whole rest of the day. Again, not a single time have I felt better after a walk outside during the 8 months I have had long covid so far. Before covid, walks always made me feel better and healthier, but since getting sick with lc, it stopped working and CONSISTENTLY doesnt give me any positive feedback.

@ I’m sorry you are going through this Long Covid situation too. 😢 Perhaps you are not quite there yet with walks not making you feel worse. I’m over three years into this and some things have improved. I still have to be cognizant about how long of a walk my body can tolerate. Some days it’s 10 mins but on a better day it may be 20. I feel like it has to do with getting my blood pumping through my body, especially my legs. Another great thing to be aware of is that your Limbic system can turn on symptoms (all symptoms including fatigue) if it’s stuck in fight-or-flight (sympathetic mode) which is occurring for many Long Coviders (including me). This can be your Limbic brain trying to protect you from too much activity thinking that it’s protecting your body. In this case it’s important to send safety signals to your Limbic brain by consciously telling it that you’re safe and that the symptoms are being caused by an overactive ANS ( autonomic nervous system). Keep taking those walks, listening to your body, being self compassionate and sending safety signals to your Limbic brain. Eventually you’ll start to feel better with the walks. At first walks were hard on me and still I can’t push myself much especially on days I don’t feel great. But movement and being out in nature are so important to getting better. Blessings to you 💕

Unfortunately *deconditioning* is NOT the problem at all. I have been moving the entire time and I seem to have incredibly *inadequate blood volume and poor perfusion* . Despite getting ample nutrients and fluids, I continue to lose perfusion, have dropping O2 saturation w/ dysautonomia, and severe inflammation. The blood vessels constricted and inflamed…tissue stiffening and drying with this, inside and outside.

Research shows Quercetin dihydrate is able to bind to residual spike proteins and disable them. I've seen people thwart long covid by using it x3 per day. Quercetin can be poorly absorbed so the dihydrate form is critical.

This is a common symptoms of severe "PEM" or post exertional malaise. Or as another poster said, perhaps a histamine problem. Check out the low histamine diet and especially an inflammatory diet. If the gut is inflamed, the brain will be inflamed. Also, you need to call down the nervous system.

You forgot the MCAS element of long COVID! My MCAS went nuts from mold but the Reddit MCAS group is filled with folks whose covid or even vaccine caused their MCAS to go nuts. The processed food thing is real cuz all the preservatives are made from corn and my mast cells seem to be so sensitive to anything made from corn!
@anson.meadows
@anson.meadows 29 күн бұрын
Peculiar enough, there’s a link with AQP4 antibodies and Covid. I know, as I am 3x positive with those antibodies but an atypical NMO patient. And there is research showing that a protein in corn mimics the aquaporins that those antibodies attack, so molecular mimicry…meaning that when you eat corn, if it crosses through the gut’s tight junctions, the body may recall that protein as looking like a past invader, triggering antibody production for your own tissue (e.g. Aquaporins). And for some reason too, NMO is linked to Scleroderma and Sjogren’s. Sjogren’s is intimately connected to MCAS. All of these things intertwine.

Science has shown tthat if you had any propensity for any metabolic issues, even if never experiencing any symptoms whatsoever, the covid virus attacks, attaches and exacerbates any potential issues and now have come full blown health problems. The covid virus does its damage. That becomes damage, that we, with long covid, deal with daily. We slowly work at improving what we can, we try every day to recover what is recoverable. We still live with damages. We are not where we were prior to the covid virus. We have continuing health, and medical issues, that are considered impaired now. When will long covid be considered a disability under the SSA as a diagnosed disability. We've been diagnosed with Long haul Covid. We need legislation now. We need support now. We have and are losing everything.

Put this on top of Lyme, and you have a 38 year-old neurological mess with rage! Oh, he’s had Lyme meningitis 30 years ago and several severe TBIs, and now autoimmune encephalitis. We don’t know where to take him because he’s constantly having meltdowns.
@revelation12_1
@revelation12_1 Ай бұрын
Gut rage, brain rage. Have you tried an anti-inflammatory diet? The virus tends to reactivate old stuff, or else it suppresses the immune response so old stuff pops up. Autoimmune generally has to do with a damaged microbiome. Are there a lot of food sensitivities?

You'll be surprised. I was. I've never felt better. If you are suffering from long covid symptoms of any sort, read the new book, "Moving Beyond the COVID Lies". In the later chapters you'll find a complete library and discussion of the cause for your condition and treatments for what ever symptoms your body is still manifesting - cause and proven treatments. It's worth every penny.

Long-Covid or instead people only not getting to see the dentist on time. While everyone was expected to adjust to so many fast change sets of rules causing stress. Like that one a young student who is trying to cope with all their classes being online only then being mistreated by cranky taxi driver after she forgot to bring which right matching purse she wanted to bring along to the over controlled building later as all of the lock down rules were being eased. Whom I had to help into the building so she could get some help from a help desk. After the lock downs when almost all of the dentist offices were closed at the time. Only coincidence concerning the only dentists left in town willing to serve the public or what. I recall having to help a young woman who had ended up in a total state of learned helplessness while sitting on the sidewalk in a heap during 35 below Celcius weather after being dropped off at the same public building I was headed to enter while her location was farther away form the only set of doors of the building there by an angry taxi driver who had just finished telling her that because she had no taxi fare that she was now going to be arrested sooner or later for doing that and so it would be in her best interest safety to wait there for her arrest.

You won’t be able to find a doctor who can truly help because there is no proven help. I know I had it and I am a physician. His advice is good. Follow it and pray. Mine was horrible, thought I’d have to stop work (which I love), but one day after 4 months it just went away overnight. Went back to skiing, hiking, and 14 mile bike rides. So have faith, it does remit. It’s just so frustrating because there is no treatment.

It got me good this time , but i wasnt tested , but i got sick for a week and the only symptoms i had was a runny nose a little bit of a cough but not severe, acute sore throat and i felt fatigue lost my smell and taste . 3 days after i recovered , i started feeling good again and then WAM BAM on the 4th day , i start having TROUBLE breathing at work , ever since October 23 2024 , i have to take deep breaths and lose my breath easily . I was not vaccinated because i thought covid was a joke . Now im here crying, trying to figure out how to make this go away . Its gotten a little better since 3 days ago. Gone to the doctor 3 times , got an inhaler now and did a pulmonary test last week . I believe i have alot of inflammation in my body . Doctor also prescribed me losartan for my high blood pressure 140/90 . The first day i took losartan, i noticed my symptoms got slightly better, i was able to catch my breath easier. Did some research on losartan and found out it acts as a anti inflammatory, it could also possibly protect you from covid lung damage. So maybe my blood pressure medication is helping me in a way , i also stopped drinking soda 2 days ago and been drinking 5-8 bottles of water everyday for the passed 4 days . I do believe this is covid because everyone else in my family is still kinda sick after 3 weeks since we all got sick . But my lungs are trippen. Good luck everyone. Once I start feeling better I'm going to get all the vaccines . 😂 😊😢😢
