I'm sorry that racism is still something you have to endure. It's not much consolation to you, but I have to believe that alot of it is rooted in ignorance as opposed to real hate. I may be naive, but if it's ignorance then that means there's real hope that the world can change for the better...as opposed to hate which you can't combat and just means that sadly there's some vile pieces of shit sucking up valuable air and taking up space in the world. Anyways, I'm rambling lol, but I sincerely am sorry for any shit you've had to suffer just cos of your skin. Sending you love and wishing you happiness xx

Following Brexit, in future, I think we'll have more fake food unless we buy from local sources, as new trade deals don't require imported food to be of the same standard as we have now. It was public pressure that put the rules in place. Rules about salt, sugar, hygiene, additives, origins, husbandry, traceability, quality etc etc.. And the very 1st deaths caused by relaxation of the safety rules will remove them from office.. Its also why they cannot delete the NHS the public would destroy them WE hold the power collectively the problem is not the Government, who understand this very well, its with the general population who do NOT, or if they do, are too afraid to use it!

He ignored farmers and fishermen and he said 'f*ck buisiness' during the leave campaign or after the Brexit vote (I can't quite remember when he said it). It would take 40 by-elections for his majority to be demolished. Most people will not protest because they will just go for the cheapest food and be glad they have cheap enough food to feed themselves and their families. Most of the media will not broadcast what is going on with food standards as they support the Conservatives. Boris has cowed the BBC and now he wants to privatise Channel 4 for upsetting him previously. He tried to ban certain newspapers from government briefings. The food reputation in the U.K. is undeserved. It was born when American GI’s were stationed here during WW2. They’d come from a land of plenty to a war ravaged nation that had been struggling alone for years where everything was rationed and basic and most things we take for granted now, didn’t even exist due to the war. My father tasted his first banana almost two years after the war ended. We have a very old culture and that means we have our own cuisine. Most of it can be found in recipe books (one of my favourites is ‘rabbit in the dairy’) and the various meat pies and puddings are exceptional. There are so many regional cheeses and dishes and it’s worth remembering that in the USA, most cheese is processed, (even in a can) and is simply called “blue” or “Hispanic”. The U.K., , has cheeses in the hundreds. The most popular, Cheddar, comes from Cheddar in Somerset and practically every single part of the U.K. have their own regionally organically produced and I’m not being bias when I say that it tastes tastes better. Any American visitor will also noticed that eggs aren’t refrigerated. That’s because in the states, they’re bleach washed which removes the protective membrane from the shell that protects it from bacteria. The eggs in the U.K. actually taste better for not being processed. . Just like immigrants gave the USA pizza, hotdogs and hamburgers etc, from the empire poured into Britain, spices and dishes that intermingled with the indigenous cuisine to make a very rich and varied food culture. Today, the U.K. have some of the worlds top chefs. Every Gastro pub in the U.K. will have a curried dish on the menu at some point, even if it’s a british invented coronation dish. But the best place to try fish and chips is in a northern fishing town where the fish is off the boat that same day and the batter is beer batter and it’s fried in dripping.
