It is kind of interesting that Koreans like to ask a lot of questions deemed “personal” by many foreigners, but somehow education background is the one avoided instead.

A lot of this depends on how old you are. On the subway I always hear the grandmas and grandpas practically shouting when they’re on their phones. And the noise between floor complaints are so dumb sometimes. There’s a message on every floor not to take shower late at night in my building. (I guess if you come home late at night you have to go to bed dirty.)How does that bother anyone? 😅

Hello:) thanks for your comment! You must have lived in Korea or have been here for some time! You are absolutely right^^! There are loud Koreans and as you said, they seem to shout at times and that shocks me sometimes 🤣 And I see the messages so often as well in my apartment! That is sometimes too much! The latest message says not to use the vibrating armchair for massage, the one Koreans love to use, at night! Hahaha🤣🤣!

I find the noise sensitivity quite funny since everything in Korea seems to be making some noises. Our apartment lock says blimblimblim when we open the door (from inside using the handle, but of course also when entering to the apartment), apartment building elevator has constants announcement going on, there’s even every day apartment building wide public announcement played in the apartments at 7pm. And then everything else, on the street there are constantly something beeping or some public announcement going on. And in public transportation, the stop announcements takes like 30 seconds each, and then in the middle of the bus ride some advert (I guess, I don’t know the language) starts playing… And please, do not take this as a criticism! It’s just my observation as a Finn who has not yet gotten used to all the noises made by machines :) Also, I haven’t heard anything from our neighbors, so there’s that and I do appreciate that a lot! ;)

The Korea and Japan thing makes me especially uncomfortable, for a lot of reasons. Japan was the first country outside of my own whose language and culture I became interested in. From there I became interested in learning about countries all over the world, and now I’ve been living in Korea for a few years. So I have a lot of love for both countries, and it’s frustrating how often I see Japanese and Korean people fighting in KZbin comments. They’re never listening to or trying to understand each other, they’re just saying the same things over and over. Regarding not saying that Japanese and Korean culture are similar… They are clearly distinct from each other, and living here then visiting Japan has reinforced how different they are. That said… There are many linguistic and cultural similarities. So often I’ll see a KZbinr based in Korea and Japan mention something they believe is uniquely Korean or uniquely Japanese, but it’s something that exists in both countries. SOME of it might be carried over from the colonial period, true, but not all. I also don’t find it fair how often some other Koreans compare “Korean culture” to “Western culture” when “the West” is full of many extremely different cultures. But I get it, though, expressing these sentiments to Korean people isn’t likely to gain me many friends, so I normally keep quiet about it. On another note, regarding not talking to loudly in public places… I have seen non-Koreans do this in Korea, and it’s embarrassing, but most of us are usually quiet. At least once a week, though, maybe more, I do hear people being loud in the subway or on a bus, and it’s usually some 아줌마 or 아저씨. Also, I have noticed that Koreans can be quite loud when visiting other countries. Not every Korean! But many. Anyway! None of this was meant to be criticism of your video. These are just things I think about A LOT living here, so I wanted to share my perspective.

Hello:) thank you so much for your insightful comment. The Korea-Japan relations is very complex, right?^^ By the way, as for the loud people in the subway or on a bus, I totally agree. They sometimes shout 😂 and people who don't speak korean would think they are in a serious argument😅😅 Thanks for your comment and hope to see you again!

As about the occupation of Korea from Japan I’ve watched the movie “Mal Mo E :The secret mission “😢😢and I really cried !! You’ve been through enough things 😢 as my country (Greece) from Turkeys 😢for over 400 years…. Korean people are quiet and for sure you can’t speak with a loud voice or point your finger to show a direction! In contrast with Greece 😂 we keep our voices loud 😂 (inherent from Turkish )😢

I find it strange how Koreans yell out their order when they walk into a restaurant,in Australia we would walk over to the owner and speak directly to them not just yell out two more beers here.
@Korea_expert4 ай бұрын
Hello,Sue~^^thanks for leaving me a comment again 🤗 Yes, you are right! Yelling out an order may seem weird^^ I don't where it started but I have a reasonable doubt that it could be due to the Korea's fast-fast culture. Want their food to come as fast as they can?😹
