You probably don’t have a lot of time to spare, but this video is a great example of how unusually insightful and helpful information can really benefit from a written script. Even for intermediates, what you’re trying to describe is very often key to a victory. And by the way, NOT only in wrestling…the general principles are applicable to most (probably all) styles of hand-to- hand, body-to-body combat. But to understand at least some of this, you really need to already have an idea what you’re talking about before you see it. A lot of that (problem) is because you’re not using a written script. Writing this stuff down forces you to discipline the message, and makes you much more effective. Plus it really helps with smaller, more subjective issues, like repeating yourself 11 times. Know what I mean? GREAT information. Just needs polish via a written script. It DOES take time, but it WILL make you even better at this. And you wrestle, so you already love working harder than everybody else.

I just started wrestling and I’m in the 100lb weight class. It was my first varsity match, I’d placed first in JV, but varsity all I could do was hold off a pin for about 3-5 minutes. I had no problem getting out of a pin, but I couldn’t get back up or get on top. I was so frustrating. I can shoot, but I have no idea when!!

Hello new to wrestling parent here, I appreciate any and all advice. My 11 year old daughter, whose I never imagined being athletic at all, just started wrestling, meaning shes had 2 duals and 1 tournament. She absolutely LOVES wrestling; however, shes not aggressive at all. Our high school coach says she'll get there, her coach(middle school) says she sprawls and shoots beautifully but it's too perfect. She tells me she doesn't want to hurt anyone. How cam I get her to break through this? She gets teased bc she's the only 1 on her team that hasnt won a match, I really want her to succeed and she doesn't want to quit but I can see she's starting to feel defeat. Also, any advice on floating weight(she'll weigh in beginning of practice around 120-123 end of practice she's down to 112-116)

Ass Than Zack I have the same problem but every few miles there’s a stop like for water. Isaac already has a lot of videos on it. But for me since I am doing it in my home state of Wisconsin just do a lot of cardio. Like run up a hill every day go on long runs.
