Omg thank you so much!!! I have like a curse! Everytime I go on stage for an important show, I get sick! It's like God didn't want me to give great performances! :P

+Maëva Gosselin I don't think god cursed you! I think your body may be trying to sabotage you though...It's weird...we may really want to perform, but on some subconscious level, our body may still think that it is dangerous to put ourselves out there. And by creating an illness, the body is keeping you safe from possible danger like criticism or something like that...A good mantra to practice is "I am totally comfortable wherever I am!" Happy singing my friend!

Hi there, your videos are great! I'm a teacher and just recently found out I have a vocal nodule on each side of my vocal chord. I went on two weeks of voice rest and I still have a lot of hoarseness. Could you make a video on exercise to improve that? My voice is so hoarse I can't even do the vocal fry. Any advice is appreciated thank you!

Hi! I just discovered your channel. Been singing for 40 years and I now have COPD from singing in smokey clubs for years. I have alot of problem with phlegm. I tend to glitch & can't connect my notes. I rarely have a clear voice. Besides water, when you're on the way to a gig, how do you deal with constant, thick mucous in your chest? I don't want to constantly clear my throat. Btw, you're a wonderful teacher, and trust me, I've been to the best in NYC. THANKS SO MUCH!

This is so useful, thank you! I'm a music student in college so with a curriculum that involves me at least sight-singing once a day along with ensembles, memory checks, juries, and weekly studio lessons, certainly my professors understand that it's hard to sing properly while sick, but especially in a school environment where upper respiratory infections are as common as the sniffles, full vocal rest always feel like not an option. I appreciate this lesson!

Is it stressful on your voice if you have a fever, but the dis-ease isn't in your voice? Cuz I have chest pain (VERY SMALL) when I breath through it. There's no nasal congestion or cold symptoms. It's not even extra effort to speak normally. I just want to know, if I do sing, if my voice will swell or not with a fever and not a cold.

i’ve had performances all weekend and i’m a mezzo singer, but we sing soprano notes, too. i lost my voice but i have auditions tomorrow and the next day. i have a performance today💀. i’m so scareddd someone help! i feel pressure in my sinuses. and throat feels kinda stretched. my nose is stuffy and i sound nasaly. i’ve been resting and stuff. someone at rehearsal said if you add a tiny splash of alcohol to your tea it works like a miracle AND IT DID! it got rid of the gravely stuff, but now i’m still all nasal-ish

You can activate them in the botton that says CC in the right part of the video, just next to the settings, the theater mode, and the full screen ;)
