😂😂😂 I’m sorry about the train ride,someone has miss guided you to a wrong compartment. If you have reserved 1st or 2nd class(reserved) tickets no one else can sit on those seat, there are separate compartments for them and I’m sure have miss guided someone to a non reserved second class compartment. (Those train reserved 2nd class and non reserved 2nd class) And now there is a special ride call ELLA ODYSSEY, that is definitely for tourists.

Odyssey is the best for tourists cz it slows down or stops at scenic places... better to reaseach it before booking cz the ride is much longer than a normal train. so it wont crash your plans

This is some really good advice. As trains can get really busy during weekends it is advisable to catch the train during weekdays. Also you can catch the train to ella from a place called Peradeniya which is less busy than the kandy train station.

I mean why did you take a third class ticket or an unreserved second class ticket if you really want to have a good experience on the train journey. I would recommend to book your ticket prior to the journey or just buy second class ticket or first class for sure. It is so peaceful with Air conditioning.

So a ticket from india to sri lanka is 30-40k for that same price i can go thailand , cambodia , vietnan and had alot bettet attractions IMO… is the only reason i havent gone yet. Yes its very nice but its not developed for tourists as tbose other countries . IMO
