My experience in Canada is that the server will ask you, "How is everything ?". And if you have a problem with the food - too salty, too sweet, do not like the taste, etc- they will give you another dish instead. The business will get a better "word of mouth" rating from the people who received this service and the server will probably get a bigger tip. You might get a visit from the restaurant manager to apologize and take care of the situation. We think this is good customer service. You might even be comped the dish you ordered ensuring that you will tell your friends about the wonderful service. We were at a steak house and the food was delayed, they gave a us a free round of drinks and two of the four steak dishes were free. You better believe I told all my friends about how great that place was and went back regularly.
@frankthetank8050

I would agree. I've travelled almost everywhere and never heard that you get charged for food that you returned. Its sounds pretty ridiculous 😂 But if you think again, it's a dirt poor country, so probably they simply can't afford to do that. Pretty sad also if you think about it. So in fact no need to get angry, rather feel sorry for these poor people and try to help them. Especially since we are talking about some ridiculously low amounts, like exactly nothing
@alanharrison694

Very interesting as usual Peter! In the United States I eat most meals out and on rare occasions, I come across an unsatisfactory dish. I definitely mention it to the server and tell them I am not looking for compensation, but most good restaurants automatically take it off the bill. But when I am in Thailand and it happens, I just don’t eat it and pay the check. Different culture, different practices. “You are not in Kansas anymore.”

I can't believe the attitude of the first guy. Knew he was drunk. Rode a motorcycle in a country known for shocking road fatalities. Planned to bribe police if pulled over. Considered himself "unlucky". It's beyond belief. Guys, if you're not wearing a helmet, don't have a license to ride a motorcycle in your own country, or are drunk, don't expect your travel insurance to pay in the event of a crash. Use Grab or Bolt to get home, or just walk back to the hotel. Hospital bills can send you into bankruptcy, and/or leave you with serious injury. It's not worth the risk.

Great mix of stories Peter. Drinking & Driving : Here in CZ, the limit for alcohol is 0.0. No matter where you are, never, ever drink and drive. Imagine having it on your conscience if you killed someone ... That airport story is just weird ha ha. Reminds me of the time I was drinking in a bar in America and a couple started a conversation with me. They said they were married. The lady then said "Oh no, you don't have to stay in the hotel. You can stay with us, right honey ?" "Oh yeah, you can come and stay with us" .... Thankfully I was rescued by the bar owner, who they said they knew. He said that he knew her a little but, but had never seen the guy she was with. There are weird people all around us ...

@@ThailandBound Until you got to their place Peter and seen the "Bates Motel" sign on the driveway ha ha. Bar owner was cool. He owned another bar, and as I was on my lonesome working for a month in middle America, he said he was going to check in on his other bar, and that I could come with him. We went out through the kitchens of his pub/ restaurant, and we drove to his other bar, which was beside a university, so was full of students. He introduced me to his bar manager, who took the time to call over pretty girls and introduce them to me. Hours later at the end of the night (way past closing time), one of the girls offered to drive me back to my hotel. When we arrived, she asked what my room was like. I said I would love to show her, but as I had a girlfriend back home, I would have to say goodnight. Why don't these things happen on all the other business trips I had when I was single .. grrrr ... ha ha. Oh well, that's life ....

I have been enjoying these videos and especially the animated series with Nat. I did take a little affence at what I thought was put down of bar girls. I do know of guys who have married bar girls and it has worked out. I do understand that some bar girls can make a killing by having multiple boyfriends and to them it is a cash cow for them. There are two sides to stories and this program is a great way to make guys awhere of the worse case sernarios.
@ThailandBound

Hi Glen, I agree with your comment and to reiterate that point, I always make a point of saying that “The bar girls are not bad girls, they do what they have to do to support family members” in fact they’re great company and a lot of fun. However this said, guys should be aware that a GOGO bar is probably not the best place to look for a future long-term girlfriend.

To the guy who got thrown in jail for drinkin and driving, man you have to consider the price of addiction. Even the words you use, "gettin a buzz on" and such, just sound like to you the only way to have a good time is getting all messed up. Far be it from me to tell someone how to live but I still have to say that I just don't get it. I suppose I never will. When I get on my bicycle and hit it hard and the sun is shining and the clean air is filling my lungs, I get a HUGE buzz. I really get a high. I feel like freakin Superman, like I could do anything. Needless to say, sex with a beautiful girl is a real buzz too. I'd feel like an idiot if it took a bunch of poison that basically kills my brain temporarily, to feel good. I feel really sorry for this guy. Alcohol, cigarettes, soon he won't have any health left at all and he'll just be another shriveled old fart needing people to help him get into a car or cross a street. You know when you look at old people and they are just shells of what they were, just waiting to die? It doesn't have to be like that. Alcohol, tobacco, gambling, whatever. They all do the same thing. They make you a slave. You work hard for your money, and then they take all you earned and give you nothing but bad health. They don't even give you memories because you can't remember them anyway. It's just so sad that what could have been such a fulfilling life turns into a life of slavery and bad experiences, and a short an unhappy life. In fact, you are actually missing what life is supposed to be. You could be out there helping people every day, which feels great, instead of being just another addict, another wasted life, another drag on civil society, another problem that others have to deal with. What a waste.

8:55 Gee, guys it's pretty basic: don't drink and drive. It's absolutely irresponsible. Jeez

Heh heh heh. Not drink and drive? Not drive drunk? Be a responsible adult? Good luck with that. Just make sure you're paid up through the weekend and Monday; your drunk driving will cause you more problems than a court date and fine. Stupid is as stupid does. Even Forrest knew that. (But in defense of this particular bloke, he did only blow a 0.8 B.A.C.)

I'm sorry but some of these stories are all over the place, either badly written or badly pronounced. There are so many pointless bits within the story that lead to absolutely nowhere, too much repetition, and then boom the story abruptly ends and I'm none the wiser as to the point of the story other than the person writing the story had a nice holiday.
