Very good video of cooking basmati rice. I think I like the second and fourth methods better than the first and third.

Thank you dear lady for sharing these 4 ways of making Basmati Rice, all four are excellent methods, presented in such a professional and understandable manner insuring us,if we followyourinstructions to the letter,we'll have somefantastic and delicious cooked rice, the first method is also my preferred method, as time is priceless and we have to organize ourselves to achieve the great results we desire and the fourth and last method, similar to how we make rice here in Mexico, toasting the grain until golden brown and adding pureed tomatoe and a chicken buillion cube, but I will try it your way, with only the ghee, whole spices and salt. Thank you for sharing and liked.

Excellent video. I've always used your mother's method. There's an extra dish but it has the most control at the time when it's about to be ready so you can get it most consistent, you don't have to be accurate with the water from the start or wait to soak, you always know it's going to be 10-15ish minutes so can judge when the other dishes are coming along nearly ready to put it on.

What brand of rice used in this video? It doesn’t matter whichever method I cook, my rice never comes out this good. I think it has something to do with the brand

I always have a problem cooking large quantities of basmati rice. I use the saute’ method, which works well for 3 or 4 cups of rice but when making 6 cups of rice the rice always clumps together and the grains are not long and separated. I always use Tilda rice, which is a good brand as far as I know and I also use a wide non-stick pan when making rice. Any suggestions?

Your video assumes that aged basmati rice is being used. If one is not using aged basmati rice, is the ratio of liquid to rice different? If so, what is it?
