Alice, this was a fantastic advice and reassurance. You are very skilled in what you do and how you share you information. The additional advice on pessaries was also great. I liked the reference to a sports bra! You should be a link for every pelvic health specialist... I will continue to share. Well done. Your work is really valuable 😊

Hi Bernie, thank you so much for your lovely comments. Glad you liked the sports bra reference! Really appreciate your support for my channel as we are in the baby stages of growing and spreading the word about hypopressives. Thank you 💕

I am new to hypopressives and have had some yoga teachers promote locking your vaginal opening (kegal) while doing the hypopressives. Would like some guidance on if this is a good practice or detrimental? thanks!

Thank you for tips, keagles did not work for me but been trying hypopressives and they seem to be helping, any specific poses that could help with splitting?
@hypopressiveswithalice5 ай бұрын
Hi Monika! Great to have you here. A regular practice of a variety of poses is important, with good breathwork technique etc, but there is also a video on my channel called 'Hypopressives for Rectocele' (12 mins) which women have said has been really helpful, so you could for example do a different 10 -15 min flow in the morning and then rectocele flow in the evening 3 times a week 💙

I am a little confused that you exhale when you lift (let's say a toddler) and then as you're carrying them then you just breather normally? So is all the risk associated with the transition from not lifting to lifting, if that makes sense? I love your programme it's changed my life!
@hypopressiveswithalice5 ай бұрын
Yes, so instinctively a lot of us will take a breath in which increases intra-abdominal pressure before we lift. And then if you lift it's increase in pressure + increase in pressure with the load. So the idea is that the exhale reduces pressure prior to loading which increases pressure (and you can also squeeze your pelvic floor) and then breathe normally once you've lifted. Hope that helps! So glad to hear the programme has helped you so much 💕

@@hypopressiveswithalice thanks so much. Could I ask if you have an opinion on hysterectomy (uterus) & repair for prolapse? I am using a pessary at the moment
@hypopressiveswithalice5 ай бұрын
@@niamhbyrne4036 Personally it would be for if I'd exhausted all conservative options. Failure rates are high, unfortunately. Pessary + hypopressives can be an amazing combo if you're struggling to keep your symptoms minimal with a pessary 💙

@@hypopressiveswithalicethanks you so much. I do think my pessary helps a little & I will start the hypopressives. Do you recommend pelvic floor stimulators,like Elvie, Kegel 8 or my Neurotrac Thanks so much 🙏
