4 Weeks Mountain Truck Camping Honeymoon - First Night Boondocking

First night camping off grid on the way to the Pacific Northwest. Beautiful weather, logging roads, Fox invasion at campground, cooked leftovers after giving up on the big meal plan. We camped outside of Hinton Alberta on crown land where the river meets the road.

Tim Stretton Tried this last night and sadly our daughter didn’t take it well, she’s 4. She loved camping when she was 1-2 years old. Now I think she’s older and more aware of what scares her. We made it for a couple hours and then had to come back in around midnight. We just used our foam mattress topper over sleeping bags and we were nice and cozy. I hope she gets better about this. We will try again. I hope your attempt goes better than ours. Nothing like a camp fire and a tent.

Cold outside but warm hunkerdowns at night no doubt after a yummy dinner. I just LOVE the smell of bacon cooking in the morning with the welcome smell of coffee brewing. Mmm... Our anniversary is Aug 7th. We just had our 52nd wedding anniversary this month in 2022. So many wonderful times together with family and friends. We treasure these memories as I'm sure you do as well. You certainly had an epic peaceful honeymoon. Even the fox was drawn to your camp to check out the happy vibes, OR to go shopping. These YT videos has certainly preserved your sweet memories.

Really love the site and the big river I would sleep like a baby with the sound of the running river rain would be awesome but probably not for you on your honeymoon

Steve, I hope you see this comment. Todays date is 5/11/2023 which is 3 years after this video was posted. We’ve never met before but I feel like I’ve known you for a long time. You’re videos truly make a difference in my life. It’s bittersweet rewatching the videos of you and beautiful wife’a adventures. She will certainly live on through you and all of us watching. Keep hanging in there and hunkering down. Love ya Steve! Cheers from Michigan!
