Thanks Anders! I have been watching you for a while now. Started back in 2020 when I started my new career “Stay at Home Bartender” 😊 Just mixed up the first whiskey drink (used bourbon 😬) it sounded sooo good! At first I was going to just mix the drink and leave out the smoke ingredient, because didn’t really know how I could do it with what was available to me. And because of your inspiration… figured it out. Used a pecan on an electric burner 😂😂 the drink is (was) excellent and am going to make another 😮 Signed, I’ll have another/ Where there’s a will there’s a way

Love smokey drinks. Came up with a the 'Intercontinental SMOKEY old fashioned': 1oz Tallisker 10yr, 1oz Woodford, 1 tsp raw sugar, 2 shakes whiskey barrel bitters and stir down over ice. Smoke rocks with dried thyme sprig in smoking chamber (can do 3 x drinks at a time in a large chamber). Strain over an Anders cube and garnish with Orange zested and cherry marinaded in Rye.With a Havana... but smoking is carcinogenic...disclaimer.

I have been a fan of yours the entire time, watching all your videos, growing my amateur mixology hobby, all due to you. Been planning for this exact thing since I stumbled on a cocktail smoking kit earlier in the year. It came with cherry, apple, and mesquite woods to start. But then my small torch quit, so now I need to replace it. I was inspired by a local cocktail creation called “The Smoking Gun”. Basically an old fashioned, with two major enhancements. The Bulleitt bourbon was washed with browned butter first. Second was that it was served in a mason jar, with the smoke piped in at the finish, then sealed in with a screw down lid. You then had the option to either simply remove the lid, making for a lighter smoke flavor in the drink, or by shaking it first, infusing a heavier smoke profile. Really fun, and delicious to boot!
@30topacify952 ай бұрын
I make a modified Old Fashioned for the fall/winter months. I use a spiced semi-rich turbinado syrup infused with cinnamon, elderberry, and cardamom, and smoked bitters from a local whiskey distillery. Since I can’t smoke my cocktails just yet, the bitters help give that smokey flavor while balancing the sweetness. 👌 Edit: can’t wait to try some of these!

I will be trying these out soon. I got a cocktail smoking kit for Xmas last year that I need to play with. Something I would like to see is a video about cocktails for wheated bourbons. I have a daughter and some friends who don't like the rye-forward bourbons as much. I know that they are wrong , but would be interested in ideas that play off the different flavor notes of a Makers Mark 46 or Larceny.

Seeing you make seasonal, especially autumn, cocktails always gives me a warm feeling. Making and drinking the cocktails gives me an even warmer feeling. I love Fall, even if it is melancholic. All are entertaining and I think your videos outmatch other mixology channels, no question, so keep up the good work, but this one was like you were in my home and we were mixing drinks. As for a good go-to fall drink... maybe try your hand at this one. Use the following ingredients: Angels Envy, Port, St. Germain, Black Walnut Bitters, Top with Ginger beer. I won't reveal my ratios because I'd be interested in seeing you make a video on what you think the rations should be. Also, what did you decide for port? Tawny or Ruby? Lastly, what garnish would you use to serve this cocktail best?

@@CrusinVK 'Whisky' and 'whiskey' are the same thing, i.e. a distilled spirit made from a fermented grain mash. It's just spelling. There are no requirements that has to be met for it to be one or the other. There are a lot of bourbons that spell it 'whisky', including Maker's Mark, Old Forester and George Dickel. American and Irish distilleries generally spell it 'whiskey' while Scottish distilleries and the rest of the world call it 'whisky'.
