Deathwatch and Hayden Anomaly stuff is the most grim dark stuff in the grim dark setting of 40K. Example being that a rouge trader fleet headed by Hayden the guy who named the Anomaly set off its old mining ship on mission. It vanished, until 3,000 years later a Kill Team noticed a rouge planetoid passing near their watch station. It appeared to be a lifeless hunk of rock except, it had a breathable atmosphere and what appeared to be a crashed missing Imperial Mining ship on its surface. When the Kill Team got there, they found the ship had not crashed but been carefully disassembly into all its parts and laid out like a tech diagram or manual on the surface. But what made me go 'Wow', was what they found next. What appeared to the remains of 15,000 people carefully dissected with all their parts laid out on the ground like medical text book showing all the parts. The dissected remains appeared to be soft and still wet, show no signs of decay.

this one single marine story could have made a great background for an openworldish Space Marine game (the one from Relic), there is reason for enemy respawning, there is a need for crafting and maintaining equipment... one guerilla marine vs constantly attacking chaos warriors in an abandoned fortress... thats like Batman: Arkham whatever in WH40k setting.

I occasionally run the Deathwatch RPG, and will be starting a new game this weekend. My group made a kill-team best described as derp marines. Each one from a chapter that either was from the cursed founding, or was of a lineage that makes that lucky group look down on them in pity. Wish them luck, they will need it! Some of this really reminded me of things to bring in, they are going to be so happy.

Listening to this whilst I paint up chaplain Ortan Cassius was just as good, if not better, than having an audio book on in the background. Time to listen to more of these facts while I continue to paint

lol, i have only played 40k Dawn of war 1 and 2 video games, and until then had little to no contact with 40k. Even before watching this video, i "collected" bits and pieces of lore from various youtube channels, including this one, but your 2 Death Watch videos made me very interested in the Death Watch itself. Not that im gonna start playing the table top game, but think i'm going to get more info on them and maybe read a few books!:) Cheers mate, keep it up!

Great video guys. 👍 That last battle brother you mentioned sounds pretty awesome. The more l hear about these guys the more l like them, l might have to put them with my other possible Spacemarine chapters to start collecting when l have finished my Chaos army.

I know that this post is old but I have been working my way through all of the playlists posted by you guys. As per your question, I own a 10 man squad of Deathwatch space marines that my Imperial Guard army calls upon when needed. If I didn't own a company of Space Wolves, I would probably have an army of Deathwatch space marines.

You know at first I was super intrigued about the unusually shear titanic levels of steadfast badassery the lone Astarte must have. Then I realized somewhere in the reach there is a _Deathwatch _*_Excoriator_* - which begins to make a _whooole_ lot of fucking sense. If you guys arent to savvy on them check out the video he did for them. He does them a fair bit of justice.

its sort of funny, i just got back into war hammer and i was looking to build a chaos army that was totally different from whats already out there. after a lot of thinking i thought why not build an army of sons of malice/malal. the problem was that i really dint want them to be the same as the other chaos war band in strategy or weaponry. so i thought why not the deathwatch... the only problem was that i couldn't think of good fluff for them but now i am inspired by the 40 facts and this has and will give me some good ideas as to bass my SoM on. to be honest i was never a big fan of the fluff that's already out there for the SoM and al i can see are improvements...

Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn did you like the movie? btw i'm right now reading eisenhorns book
@Lulu-ex7fc8 жыл бұрын
***** i'd liked the movie, but there were several things that were either unnecessary or they just changed from the books. Also, it was too short to fit all it needed to. Make that movie about thirty minutes longer and it would've been better. Then the romance btw the half Ork/half human and Lothgar felt out of place, despite the fact that in the books, the woman was half Ork, half Draenei.
@Igoxz8 жыл бұрын
Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn Yeah i also felt like the movie was too short and could use some extra time, plus they changes where because this is the new cannon now, bliz is changing stuff

Ok Im just gonna say it, these video's are paltry. They arn't 40 facts about anything its just him reading a lore facet thats related to the context like reading a biography... but calling it 40 facts. Not all the video's are like this as many of them are actually FACTS instead of "40k story time". Almost ALL of this guy's Part 2/3 etc video's are just pulling up some lore from lexicanum and just regurgitating the words from a page with some copy/pasted images. Syndicate you can do better than this. Just repeating a specific adventure of a chapter/daemon/primarch isn't a 40 Facts video is a story time video. Seriously, if anyone wants to read what he is saying in advange just go to lexicanum or any other 40k wiki and you'l find what this video is saying all detailed on the same page in most cases. Word for word.
