They don't really embrace Chaos either, at least not in a way that for example the Black Legion does. The Iron Warriors rely on their own strength and technology, they even amputate Chaos-mutated limbs and replace them with mechanical limbs. And if you look at the battles they've fought against the Imperium, they usually seem to be motivated by their own goals, rather than whatever goals the Chaos gods may have.

The iron warrior probably would have stayed loyal, but Perturabo got emotional and killed everyone on his home world, so if he didn't fear retaliation from the Emperor, he probably would have not fought in the heresy at all, or helped the loyalist. I wish they stayed loyalist, it would be dope to have the imperial fists and iron warriors forgetting their rivalry and defending terra together.

If you liked this video. You may want to grab a copy of "Storm of Iron" by Graham McNeill. The Iron Warriors lay seige to a fortress on Hydra Cordatus. It's a very good book.

Suggestion: Most codex's have these parts showing little scenario's between the races or certain characters I liked how you added the sightings of cyther in the last vid. These could be easly woven into the fourty facts about future characters. As an example: we know that the black templar's grand marchall helbrecht lost his hands due to unknown reasons from their ancient codex. But in the new necron codex it is explained how he recieved wounds like these from the stormlord. Anyway! keep up the good work!

You guys are right about the whole, unloved stepchild thing. The Iron Hands are always really really good at something, but other legions are great at that thing. Perturabo really wanted to be a builder, but Dorn was better than him. Perturabo believed that his knowledged gained by destroying fortifications could make him the greatest builder of forts in the galaxy, thus building the Iron Fortresses and Circle of Iron gambit

Dorn still could never beat Perturabo in a war of attrition. The Fists were saved from certain death in The Cage. If it wasnt for that the Fists wouldnt ever have existed past that. Even Perturabos major generals were masters of siege warfare that many legions couldnt even crack.

I love reading the HH series, when I got into Warhammer in 1990 the Horus Hersey was a single paragraph in the chaos codex so to see that explaned into an ongoing book series is great. BUT. GW has always suffered from some huge plot holes, the very biggest of which is why the emperor didn't warn his sons about chaos. Therefore they need to draw our attention away from it and they do so by adding these kind of mini sub plot points to balance it out. Oh and space marines poop in their suits. And when not in their suits they poop in toilets.
