It really helps if someone is using the microphone which is the vocal-mic-standard for the past few decades (Shure SM58). You will see either that one or the Shure Beta SM58 on most vocal setups (concert, standup, whatever) so having the vocal coming through it sounding the same is easy-peasy. Really good ear for you to notice how consistent it is btw.

I took this girl out a couple of years ago I used to work with. She was fine as hell. During dinner, on a whim, I decided we should check out the comedy show playing that night that was next door (at Stand Up Live in Phoenix actually). She was cool with it because she liked spontaneous shit. Deon Cole happened to be headlining. We both never laughed so hard, and we had a real good night.... and I gotta thank Deon for helping me out with that first date. And the rest, as they say, is history... because she eventually moved back to NYC and I never saw her again.
