40 dollars for an Overwatch / Destiny 2 hybrid that looks expectedly mediocre in absolutely every way. I'd rather get a couple pizzas delivered. I dunno how many Arrested Development fans are in the chat, but if these companies pumping out this live service drivel that you have to pay for - and then pay again - and then keep paying - that only last a few months before getting shuttered because the 5 people who actually care about it can't play against themselves - of these companies aren't the Tobias Funkes of game design / pub, I don't know if there's any better example of it. "Does it ever work?" - "No, but they always delude themselves into thinking it will. But maybe..... it will work for US."

It's not only unoriginal, it learned nothing from the mistakes of the game it's trying to imitate. Overwatch 2 meta is being ruined by overly-tanky characters. Basically since OW2 tanks have become near-invincible, nearly every match devolved into skirmishes among damage dealers and supports. Nobody wants to fight tank players. Well, if you thought that was bad, Concord made the TTK even longer and thus, tank characters even tankier.

It’s exactly what xdefiant is without being free and without it flaunting that it doesn’t have sbmm. It’s a functioning game that works and will probably not have cheaters unlike everyone’s favorite games that are getting stale. Apex, cod, Fortnite, even ow. This game would literally be just fine if it wasn’t 40$ though. Because it doesn’t do anything better than those other games that are all free besides that it works properly.

@@nicekix3038 same way fortnite, apex legends, xdefiant, the finals, cod mw2019 and overwatch do. did you know that apex legends was the highest grossing game this year on steam. skins make money. events make money, battlepasses make money. look at what happened to gigantic rampage. it was a good game that nobody played because its an online game thats buy to play. people are not going to buy to play games unless there single player games because all the best online fps games are free and theres a 1% chance that your game is actually more worth it than any of those other free online games. the biggest games forced the market, if your game isnt free it will probably flop. your not gonna make any money without players. only games that have done that so far are like rust and tarkov.

Yall doing destiny a disservice comparing it to concord year 1 of 2 was wayy better than this ttk in year 1 is faster than. Concord animations are wayy more fluid and intuitive gunplay and recoil is way smoother and as for the kill notification taking a long time to pop up that is a connection thing bungie serves are notoriously awful and in my case that issue hasn’t happened on my end just 20 error codes a day destiny has come a long way and concord is far worse than it in every aspect despite destiny pvp not being the best

I feel like it'll either be one of those games that die and servers go offline within a year or they see that the $40 price tag on a game like this is unhinged and lower the price or go F2P down the line to attempt to save the game. Considering the investment I wouldn't be surprised if the $40 price tag is basically just an early adopter price tag to help them fix up the game. I don't mind that it's not very inspired. I'm so tired of Overwatch it's insane. If this game's gameplay is in a good spot that's all I need. I only played a little bit of Destiny but the ability insta kill spam was super annoying when I played. This game doesn't seem to have that issue. Cautiously optimistic about this game. I'll be playing the open beta to see how I like it.

I'm tired of shooting at raid boss tanks as a DPS. I'm tired of having every single CC and stun ability thrown at me as the tank. It's miserable. I'm sure Concord will have many issues of its own, but I cannot express enough how sick I am of the problems that changing the format to 5v5 role lock caused.
