That wood elf story sounds like the casual vs tournament mindset. Like I play eldar and used planes in 8,9th edition, I loved them but I saw it was frustrating for the opponent so I only brought 1 or 2, butt nooo the tournament guys had to spoil it by spamming them. Do wanna try battlefleet gothic and mordheim was SO much fun.

Bens sentiment 'lets not do that and have fun' is on point, butt I bet if empires was a tournament game people would spam that relic and that strategie that tom mentioned, heck itd probly be the go to thing to do and everyone would use it.

I'd Concure 'Space hulk' 1st ED was my intro to table-top and instantly hooked......2nd best Standalone i'd say was the first ed 'Necromunda'......Dislike the newer version with a passion😂 Heard great things about 'Gorka-Morka' never got to play though
