@konraddapper77645 ай бұрын
I would not call that cheating and it would be a great video to watch a beginner play a IM/GM using that variant. But honsetly I would asume the IM / GM would win almos every time by 'simply' playing a clean positional game where even stock fish has a hard time to outlplay him and just wait for the beginner to blunder. Because for a good player in a solid position it takes engins quite some moves to get clearly better position and that just to manny chance for the beginner to get in wrong thus blundering an lossing.

Why is this guy's strategy to prepare your knight for a fork and then never follow though with it when you have the opportunity?
@BrooksMosesАй бұрын
I learned the explanation for this in one of Levy's recent videos about engine vs. engine games. It's about timing -- and in particular, it's about the fact that that opportunity is not going to go away. It's clearest for the move of pawn to b4. That attack forces the opponent to move their queen (and thereby weaken their position), at which point the fork is still going to be there. Meanwhile, if they go for the fork first, the pawn-to-b4 attack stops working because the queen can safely go to e7. I think the value of the pawn to a3 is that it sets up the pawn-to-b4 attack, and even if the opponent moves the rook to b8 to avoid the fork, the cheater can still kick the queen back to e8 and force the king to move to d7 and block it in -- and I would guess that the engine sees that positional disadvantage as more valuable than capturing a rook that is already pretty much trapped. Also, note that if the opponent castles to avoid the fork instead, that blocks e8 and the queen can't escape from the pawn-to-b4 attack and is lost. It's certainly an interesting puzzle!

20:22, before Qe8+, the cheater missed b5# with pawn. They will never feel good for finding mate with pawn, because they will never find it.

Nice spot, can’t believe the engine missed that.
@apestogetherstrong3412 жыл бұрын
@@deathmeter7243 The engine probably didn't miss it, but the top choice was another checkmate, so the cheater just chose that one.

What's so unfortunate is that while failing to the queen h5 trap multiple times is irritating, instead of allowing themselves to learn, they just gave up and cheated. There have been so many times I've done something stupid and missed an obvious bait, lost my queen stupidly or thrown the game on accident but now those are things I can learn from, not cheat because of.

This really makes me want to make a channel documenting my climb out of 400-500 Elo. Learning the game correctly takes so much time I hadn’t realized. It doesn’t just click. You really need to learn all the deep skills and tactics to play this game at a higher level. I want to illustrate that with proper training, you can and will get better. Also teaches world sportsmanship. Love chess. Keep it up King.

Absolutely, I created my account about a month ago,won my first 2 games, thought this is easy, and... I got absolutely hammered. Now I'm learning the basics and a few openings, slowly starting to climb the rating ladder. It really isn't easy.

*To be fair, trash players who insult their opponents with the Wayward Queen Attack are just as bad as cheaters in my book.*

Its always so entertaining to watch my uncle who just picked up chess online to suddenly turn into Karpov in the endgame then say his account got bugged and got deleted

I watched this video 2024 and realized how much I've grown in chess. 1 or 2 years ago I was 250-300. After watching you, and learning I'm 700. Thank you Gotham. 😊

Like the tour de france cyclists. After 12 lost tours, they just go full tilt and say: "Inject me that stuff - I don't care what it is..."

honestly, i actually understand how frustrating it could be to get completely destroyed, over and over and over again, but ofc, if it was me, and I simply wasn't having any fun, I'd just not play anymore, not cheat. I personally don't even play chess. Maybe veeeeery casually against my friends, who also don't really play any chess, but I wouldn't cheat against randoms on the internet for no reason lol.
