I'd say seal a small bottle of the 2020. Let the Somms have their way with the rest. Do a fresh for 2021 and when 2022 arrives try the 21, compare to the 20 and blend both.

Here I am sipping on some Finagren's (not the best irish whiskey) pondering what 2020 was like. Me personally, I loved it. During my alcohol science experiments I've tried whiskeys that I never would have in the past. If my whiskey counting is right, I tried over 30 different ryes, 3 Japanese, 15 irish, 10 canadian, 5 scotches, unknown amount of random "american whiskey" and to top it off I found out I really like rum. I thought I hated rum. I'm not saying alcohol is a problem, I think there is now more to drinking than just to getting drunk. I'm looking forward to 2021.

So I just recently got Co,vid and lost my smell and as we know smell is like 80% taste so that is gone too, any way because of that I stumbled across this channel by way of "still-it" and I have been living vicariously through you guys. If my smell doesn't come back as fast as they say then I am definitely going to get some of the whiskeys from the reviews (the more affordable ones) and use your guys notes to retrain my nose. Love what you guys do, definitely want to make a trip to the fang and feather when all this blows over (and my smell is back). Also really like the production format for both channels, keep up the good work.

I'd say that bottling it would be super cool, keep bottles of it each year for visitors of the vault. I think separating smoky and other whiskies may be a good idea going forward. The peat is going to dominate every time.

My suggestion as to what to do with it for the future blendeggedons, the bastards solera infinity vat. Bring in your donation to the solera infinity vat and draw off the same weight to take home with you. Keep a list of everything that has been put into it. No sales, you don’t bottle it because we bring the bottle so it keeps the lawyers happy. Let’s keep this thing going and do something truly magnificent with it!!

There should be a "high-low" separation. Do two canisters, one with all the stuff you like, and another for all the stuff you don't. Then at the end of the year you can see if there's a way to "Rescue" the stuff that's not good. That'd be neat.

I think you should do one for bourbon, one for scotch, one for smoked things, maybe one for Irish and one for the rest. That should give more interesting blends. Optionally if you were to add everything in the same amounts the people could recreate the experience.

The perfect use for that blend is in fact, another blend with 66.6% of that and 33,3% of another one particular whisky....a borbon, a rye, a single malt, a peated single malt, whatever.....there's when blend recovers his personality and that would be great...

Hey yall, ive tried and shot a lot of whiskey but new to enjoying them in a different light. Would love ur advice. I have been trying a few and Im kinda stumped and would like some advice to find some whiskey ill truly love. Here are some of my experiences. JD number 7 - hated it, the charcoal and shoe taste wasn't what i enjoy. Monkey shoulder - too much honey and vanilla that lingered. Jameson - tasted smoother more enjoyable than the past 2 but didn't quite enjoy it or would buy again. Gentlemen jack - same as JD #7 but worse flavor for me. Crown Royal - loved the smoothness but lacked the complexity. Jony walker red - tasted more budge whiskey and harsh than number 7. Jim beam - too harsh not enough complexity that i could distinguish. Here are some flavors i love - green apple, lemon, cherry, floral flavors, fruit flavors just not the bitter ones like dried fruits, like to try smokey flavors (not leather, but smokey like a bbq smokey flavor). I hate whiskeys that are too oily and linger in the mouth. Love to hear some recommendations. By no means are the flavors above i mentioned are bad, and i drank every drop of those bottles and would drink again if offered, but they were not in the direction id like to go. Love some help. ty for all the information and knowledge past down to us. Have a great day
