I did the Yukon (Bennett L. to the Bering sea) solo via canoe way back in the day (1995). Awesome trip with lots of great primitive camping and lots of wildlife. Hope your trip is as good as mine was.

In 2018, I did a 14 week solo paddle in a sea kayak one of the other drainages of the Mackenzie from Summit L. just north of Prince George, B.C. to Tuktoyatuk via the Crooked R., Williston L. (reservoir), Peace R., Slave R., Great Slave L., and finally the Mackenzie R. I thought about doing the Athabasca R. route, but was put off by the tar sands mining and the logistics on my route were so easy- you can ship your boat back to Prince George via motor freight from Inuvik for less than $150.00. Anyway, there are several good ways to do the trip and yours looked pretty awesome too.

I began this trip on June 21 2020. The footage of Grande rapids was shot the first few days of July. The water was still very high pretty much disappearing most of the shorelines

That cooking stove scares me.. those are wayyy too tippy. Buddy of mine lost a meal on a two day trip cause his tipped over. Whisper light international are way better. They run on any fuel available around the world, I run mine on regular gasoline, 10 years later and a couple litres of gas it’s still going strong.

3:54 OMG...that JUST happened...I'm freaking out, man...I'm . But seriously, just discovered your channel, very cool. My dad and 3 buddies canoed the Mackenzie in '69, from Hay River to the Arctic Ocean, in two canoes they built themselves. Good to see young Canadians still have some guts and spirit of adventure, not all Nintendo and Bart Simpson and Pokemon and anime and Magic: The Gathering, etc, etc.
@skoteoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
hahah mann. what a bunch of units they must have been... doing that in home made canoes??! very impressive.

So many questions, Video editing, what software is being used, who is doing the editing, where' the internet connectivity considering these are large video files that have to be uploaded? Editing is pretty slick, clearly drones are used, smells fishy for a "raw" experience. No doubt this guy has skills in the wilderness, but something's not right.
