A Tip for you and others, Gord,..to help keep the soot off the tractor's body panels and implements. What I did was go to my Plumbing Supply Store, and bought a couple of copper elbows, 1 1/4" x 22 1/2 degree and a short piece of same size tube to join ( solder ) the two elbows together. I slid this little adapter on over the exhaust pipe, and clamped it in place with a standard hose clamp. This made a gradual turn down and out to guide the exhaust smoke away from painted surfaces. Works great for me!

Good afternoon GP, we been having some very warm temps too. 72° F here yesterday and 20° cooler today. Trees are beginning to bud but they will be nipped back by frost. Pretty typical here. It'll be mid May for us to be done with frosty mornings. Then it'll be grass cutting time. My allergies don't care much for that. Have a great week.

Getting flurries from Lake Michigan today in northern Michigan. Will be taking the Kubota snowblower off for the first time all by myself with the help of my lady. Mine is a more complicated older model that is much more heavier and extends farther to the rear and no way I can lift it myself. I have a newer barn where I keep my equipment. A whole lot less snow this year but It snowed more East of me since Lake Michigan was warmer then typical. In 2019 on Veterans Day we had 30 inches of snow in one day. Nothing like that this year. Thanks for the demo and the safety and maintenance tips.

Morning David. I did back in November I think it was. The design is far better than the old one and super easy and quick. I think maybe mine has a bit of a defect - that right side pin doesn't go in easy - kind of like it is just slightly mis-aligned to the hole on the sub frame. Just takes a bit of shaking. Cheers!
@dhenschel4
@dhenschel4 3 жыл бұрын
@@GPOutdoors Yes, I remember you having trouble in the video, metal on metal is always difficult in machinery. A mis-aligned hole tho, something to put on your list of issues to take up with your dealer... If you have another front implement that uses those holes you can narrow down if it is the holes in the blower or holes in the tractor.

Good morning. You mentioned greasing pin holes on the loader. Not sure what that looks like but you can use your chainsaw grease gun for injecting grease into small holes. Hi Gord After watching your video, very good by the way I took the blower off my tractor this afternoon. Checked the long range first got caught 2 years ago and had to put it back on. While I appreciate the advantage of a front mount blower I need my loader on all year round so my Meteor blower is rear mount. Certainly a lost easier to hook up and remove. I park mine at the end of my garage and place it on a few 4 x 4's. The only problem was I had to adjust the top link to remove the pin, other than that the whole job took me less than 15 min.

Good morning, GP. Glad to see you taking off your snow blower. A sure sign of spring. We use Dawn dish soap to remove the diesel soot from our tractors. Works really well, and we can use a sponge to wipe down and remove the soot. We are very conservative using any water as we are in a drought and haven't had much snow/rain. We are about 3.5 inches below normal precipitation for this year. Surprised to see you have no hooks for your bucket. Those hooks are very handy when trying to pull out something like a mower that is stuck in muds, etc. Wondering if you ahve a cutting edge on your bucket. How many hours now on your tractor? Thank you for video.
@GPOutdoors
@GPOutdoors 3 жыл бұрын
Hey good evening Jean. Always so nice to hear from you. I have been wanting to put hooks on the bucket for a couple of years now, but have not pursued it enough to get it done. LOL. I have researched enough to see that Ken's Bolt-On hooks are good quality etc, but once you add in the fees and duties across the border - they become prohibitive to purchase, in my view, so i haven't acted on it yet. I would love to have them so I stop scratching my paint, but am not willing to spend that much money on hooks across the border. Sorry to hear about the drought - that often causes difficulties, I know. Our water level is so high from the thaw so far, that part of my dock is literally under water - it is the first time that has ever happened to me.I certainly hope you maintain enough water to be ok - Stay safe and well - I am trying to do the same. :) Thanks so much for your kindness and that of your family. It means a lot to me. :)

Hi Jose. No unfortunately it all has to come off., The only part that can stay on is the bracket or subframe you see already bolted on by the dealer. Take care!

Bit late to this video - but did you consider a forward facing rear-mounted snowblower instead of the front mount? And if so, why did you go for the frontmount instead? I'm looking at a setup for an L6060 (well, the European equivalent) and a rear mounted blower is considerably cheaper and would let me leave the loader on all through winter and easily swap out the bucket for a plow if I found the need for that. I'm guessing the forward facing rear mounted snowblowers are less common in the US as I haven't seen them on youtube much.

Any reason why you didn't get a Swift-Tach loader on the LX? Curious on your opinions on them.

I have the swift-tach loader on my LX but if I were to do it again, I would just get the regular loader like GP has. The design seems like an afterthought and there are too many parts to have things go wrong. I've had to replace a bolt that holds one of the legs up twice because the bolt sheared off once and bent another time. I would be doing dirt work and find the legs dragging because of it. I'm lucky I didn't damage the legs. Also, the lever on the left side of the loader seems to be in the way if I wanted to mount a saw haul on the loader.

@@woodland20 I have heard similar comments. I am starting to feel better that I have the more conventional loader removal option on my own 2601.

Hey Chad. Great question. In additIon to the responses below, it was a simple decision. I have a CAB - it is rendered ineffective with a Cab. Hope that helps. GP

Hey Gord...looks like you had a break-in at the outhouse. Was anything taken? Some people have started using Sears catalog again to help conserve the Charmin.

Have you considered a battery grease gun and lock and lube tip ? Definitely worth looking into for the small price tag for a Milwaukee or Dewalt. I'm a Kubota owner myself and it is one my valued tools for maintenance.

Gord tractor bucket looks good back on the tractor. Sounds like your spring is similar to ours really been getting tons of rain here only problem lots of the severe storms. Nothing directly in my area but other places near by have been hit pretty hard. Take care and be safe.
