Heck, even reading through the beginning of Horus Rising, the suits of Terminator armour draw an appearance similar to Saturnine plate, since it is described as having a massive suite of weaponry, including man portable heavy weapons mounted atop their massive frames, in addition to their massive plate of adamantium and ceramite protecting the squishy Space Marine inside them. Plus, the pauldrons on those guys are absolutely mad. I want for GW to actually make a proper sculpt of them so that we can finally have ultra pauldron squads, I mean. . .uber Terminators lumbering across the battlefield, laying down withering hails of fire, and then crushing some poor, bonehead Tau into paste. You've covered Terminator Armour, this is something specific. | 3:15 - Dangers that are much less discriminating. | 4:05 - Which would lead to the Sons of Ferrus Manus becoming closer than most to them, after their Primarch was lost to them. | 6:06 - So they weren't just for show? | 12:45 - Which would be more likely for the Iron Hands, as they exist now.

@@JulesFaraday22 Saturnine is great looking as a stand alone. Tartaros looks like baby Contemptors, and is therefore cool. Cataphractii is gorgeous for brutal reasons, those lightning claws mostly. And Indomitus is the staple of rather a lot of armies. They are all great in my mind.

I clicked so fast when I thought this was about Saturnine terminator armor
"My lord Cawl, we found a Warp portal inside Mars, leading to an STC marked with the seal of the Emperor himself. Its more advanced than anything we have ever seen, the template merely calls it the Praetor Suit. Archmagos, what are your orders ?" "Rip and Tear, until it is DONE !" Elsewhere in the Imperium, the Librarians of the Dark Hands knew the time had come for them to perform the duty they were made for.

Silly clarification: is it (cat-a-fract-ee) or (cat-a-fract-ee-eye)? I that 'ii' usually denominates a plurality while 'ius' is used for singular typically in Old Terran Latin.

Dunno the units is Total War rome refer to themselves as Cataphracts in plural ... but hey thats just game and the devs could have gotten it wrong.

@@MrFallenone it's possible. I'm not a 2000 yr old centurion so I'm far from an expert witness. 🙂
@alphariusomegon67114 жыл бұрын
I tend to pronounce it (cat-uh-fract-eye) as that seems to roll off the tongue more easily than the other potential pronunciations. That being said, if we would just stick to Saturnine pattern Terminator armour, we wouldn't be so confused on the correct pronunciation. I am of course, biased to that mark of armour as it is both ugly and beautiful and I cannot help but love it more than the rest.

@gendor51994 жыл бұрын
I now wonder if the Powerfist's powerfield works just from punching, like a thunderhammer, or if it can crash things by grabbing as well? I feel like often when I read about them, and a Inisiative of always rolling last means they need to grab onto something, but it makes more sense that they are like thunderhammers that the forcefield is activated by punching, right?

Given the current "new cool" on toppling down statues and hooligans in England going for their defense, one must ask: what reality is this that Orks are banding together to defend the Imperium, whose warriors seems to be uninterested on preserving? Orks were based on hooligans.
