I don't know why.

@gryphonofmight4 жыл бұрын
@@professorsponge1554 here are a lot of strange similarities between the Word Bearers and Blood Ravens. they would share with Lorgar's zealous pursuit of knowledge, even if the truth of what they find destroys them. Could they be the remnants of the chapter of word bearers known as the void perhaps, as the Chapter of the Void was the smallest and least respected and they used the psychic might of the Word Bearers and were isolated among the Word Bearers, explaining why they may not have turned traitor and why the blood ravens have so many librarians. The chapter of the void was also known for developing weapons, technology and tactics and could be tied to how the Blood Ravens operate and how they collect relics. Lastly, in some of the books, we learn some of the Blood raven's sayings originated on Colchis, and thats not getting into how Cyrene and Aurelia, share similar names to two characters important to the word bearers Cyrene Valantion and of course Lorgar Aurelian.

I sometimes wonder how much the Codex Astates was enforced specifically to make the heritage of the various chapters near impossible to decipher, and thus preserve the safety and honor of those loyalists among the traitor legions without forcing them to pretend to be another primarch's gene-son. Considering it is heavily implied that Guilliman absorbed large portions of the forgotten legions, it kind of shows he has a fairly long history of preserving astartes despite other circumstances . . . . which makes it kind of weird that he forbade Cawl from ever touching the geneseed data from his heretic and lost brothers, but again, maybe that is just because he doesn't want to have to shield them from accusations in an already dogmatic Imperium. For the Algorithm!
@StealthNinja45774 жыл бұрын
It's always more interesting to be a loyalist from the traitors. It shows that regardless of the path their brothers went down some of them proudly continue fighting for what they originally believed in. With later foundings you can argue that these chapters also split into new ones so there's potentially more chapters that may or may not know their own history. The interesting thing to me is whether primaris marines added to these chapters simply corrected part of the stock they send to Terra or if they analyzed the gene seed learned it belonged to traitors and sent primaris with corrected traitor stock. Whoops I sent these primaris out with the closest match to their primarch's gene seed.

Guilliman was right not to allow such chapters to be created. If such information became well known it could lead to their persecution by other loyalists, and potentially damage his credibility. As well as that primarchs have a preternatural ability to command respect and deference from their Gene sons. Even after Istvan Horus damn near tempted Loken back into the legion. Based off the figures from Istvan III, 2/3 of SMs would choose their gene father over the emperor

Awesome theory video, this one really leaves us with a fitting puzzle! I am a fan of the 3rd Legion angle. I think that Malcador had stashed away a number of loyalists from traitor legions to be passed off as successors of loyalists. It is my belief that part of the reason for the Codex Astartes and Chaptering of the Legions was to mask the integration of Malcador's loyalists from traitor stock.
