Bud!!!.... holy CRAP that is a freaking amazing group at 150!!!!! Thanks for all your reporting and testing. Huge fan. Although.. my Anschutz' s SUC .. big time. I dont even get that at 50m!!!!! At least it shows me what a 22 in proficient hands are capable of!!! GREEN with envy for both your rifle and skillset!... It encourages me to keep on trying and testing. Keep on posting.. you are inspiring us all to get to your level. That group though is simply ridiculous!!!! lol

Great video and great content, I’ve only gotten into this type of shooting in the last few months and your content has been invaluable. I’m going to give this lot testing thing a shot and your video got me wondering some things. I wonder how those slightly faster rounds might do in a semi? With all your testing do KIDD barrels generally run it okay? (That’ll leave the slightly slower rounds for you bolt guys. 😂)

I’ve been doing a lot of lot testing, sans the chronograph. I’ve been mainly testing Eley Tenex and some Eley Match, although I’m having lots of success with SK Rifle Match. One thing I do to boil down to a finalist is make sure the results are repeatable on a different day. One challenge I have is that once I find a great lot#, many times I cannot get any more of that lot #. Nonetheless, many thanks for sharing your technique.

Eley production control kinda hits you right in face. Unfortunately, CA. gun laws add another layer of complexity when sourcing ammo outside the state. I'll have to check see if Eley has any outlets here, I suppose..

That last 150 yard group was pretty incredible. Overall looks like the gun isn't too picky. Bolt close seemed a bit tight is it headspaced really close?

The 40x has 90 degree lugs and with a little jam on the bullet it clunks it up a hair. We plan to bevel the lugs like most modern rimfires just haven't got there yet

Could I get a recommendation on compensators for a .22 rifle. Worth it or not and what kind blast forward device or more traditional style? Was also considering suppressing it as well and in the long run that will happen Thanks in advance
@PursuitofAccuracy4 күн бұрын
As far as 22 rifles I don't think there is any benefit to adding a comp or brake to one. Suppressing them makes it very quiet so that's a bit of fun factor
@chriscarlisle4994 күн бұрын
@ hey surprisingly enough I would say yea in a little way it seamed to help when I took it out yesterday. Like you mentioned not like it’s a huge difference but I would honestly like to have one with and one without to try again. Either way didn’t hurt trying hahaha

judging wind is much more of a thing than I thought. entered a non formal .22 LR competition. where we shoot it is NOT uncommon to shoot in 15-25 MPH winds. makes things difficult.
