Dana mentions seeing an oak door and knocking on either side but could not get the door to open. In episode 15 John Peters, you know the farmer, reports he found an oak door with sounds of knocking coming from either side, so he proceeded to bolt and lock both sides of the door. The way Dana was talking at the end about how she was, afraid/concerned for Cecil and all of nightvale also mirrors in episode 30. Carlos and his team of scientist walked up to the house that doesn't exist, it seems to exist and it sits between two identical houses, so it would make more sense to be there than not, saw Dana walk out of the house and talk about Cecil. Describing her expression as being either concerned or afraid, in the exact same order as Dana describes her own feelings.

Theroy about Dana: So I think she’s actually the double because in sandstorm episode Kevin and Cecil’s dialog were very similar, but when one of the Danas were killed Cecil said that one of them were dead but he didn’t know which one. Kevin said he thinks their (Desert Bluff’s) Dana was alive. (Wasn’t her name Vanessa or something) I think this Dana might be forgetting who she was and is starting to become original Night Vale Dana.

“Elevation is knowledge” I feel like that has some significance. Maybe not “knowledge” as in intelligence, but literally things people are able to know. Maybe the reason so many forces are able to manipulate NightVale is because they are at such a low elevation due to being in a flat desert, and for some reason the weird entities of NightVale are able to use that to their advantage. Maybe that’s why NightVale residences are brainwashed to believe that mountains do not exist, because then they would able to get into a higher elevation- nullifying the effectiveness of the effect. That’s just a hypothesis though.

5:05 From episode 15 - Street Cleaning Day: John Peters, you know, the farmer? He reports finding an old oak door standing unsupported by any other structure out in the scrubland. He says that he’s sure it wasn’t there yesterday, or pretty sure anyway. As sure as he can be since the accident. Apparently, there is knocking from the door, as though there were someone from some other side that does not exist in our narrow, fragile reality, trying to get in. He has added several deadbolts and chains to the door on both sides, unsure which direction the door opens.
