My so long time doubt about spike cleared completely in this video. Please be kind to answer my question: How mov will deal with lower spikes as it's shown by spike B in this video. How can I test this component? Can I use a multimeter? when bad is it only destroyed? or will it short?

in good condition, it should open on multimeter, if it becomes short circuit, damage is clearly visible on its outer body and on multimeter it will short circuit

le bienvenu mon cher. tout d'abord désolé d'apprendre la perte. car ces dispositifs de protection doivent arrêter la surtension, mais dans certains cas, ils ne parviennent pas à attraper les petites pointes ou parfois la surtension est inférieure à son niveau d'énergie nominal. ou parfois, il n'y a pas de surtension, et le circuit de commutation sur la carte démarre en "facteur de sonnerie du filtre EMI" ce qui endommage les pièces associées il existe de nombreuses possibilités de catastrophe dans la technologie électronique moderne

و علیکم السلام و رحمۃ اللہ و برکاتہ as we know, varistor is voltage dependent resistor. its resistance decreases rapidly in result of increase in voltage. if the voltage strikes repeat again and again, which causes to increase its substrate temperature , which causes to melt its oxides, and its material melts and makes short circuit between both terminals. as it is connected in parallel lines, immediately after the fuse. so parallel line short circuit (caused by the this varistor short circuit) opens the fuse and the circuit is protected from further high voltage strikes

Which protective device is useful for spikes of less than 10nsec. I have used MOVs but that don't respond such spikes.

in input try to use X & Y rated capacitor set, and set EMI filter with some good attenuated with acceptable corner frequency, then MOV or TVS unidirectional or bi-directional,
