Always a pleasure to watch all these personable and knowledgeable guys. HA - and TOMMY's accent always makes me feel most welcome. But would have been a 'nicer' build using a BIG AMC engine - I am assuming one can purchase aftermarket heads etc for an AMC (forgive my ignorance) - but still going to be a nice driver even with a CHEV in it. I am not 'anti-LS' - but it is sort of like 'everyone' wants to drop a BARRA into something - in the end - the novelty of LS and BARRA into everything sort of wears off (albeit the BARRA not quite as numerous as LS swaps - yet - HA). All the LS-swap haters should really price out parts for an AMC motor. Just finished a buddy’s 360 and can tell you those parts ain’t cheap.

We aint all Po' ass Chevy fans. Most of us have money to DO IT RIGHT!

Joseph Walsh - well, I’m not a po-ass Chevy guy either, prefer my hemis, but I could have built 2 SBCs for the price of the parts for his AMC 360. Close to $1000 for the cam alone.

@@ScoredPiston ....And every dumb Bubba & Earl can build a SBC...and an LS...who friggin' cares!? Do something DIFFERENT, even if it costs more money.

How cool would it have been to see a modernized 401? Port fuel injection, coil near plug, Holley brain. If they had to go modern platform a Gen III Hemi would have been much more acceptable.

Missed the mark, this should have been a 401. You kept the Caddy and the PMD...

That's by far, the coolest shifter for an automatic from factory

I believe AMC referred to it as the saddle shift.

I am a little bummed out about the LS swap though it is a nice ls. Part of me would have put a 392 hemi in it. I feel that would have been more appropriate.

I have a nova I'm putting a supercharged LS in, but I also have a 72 Javelin SST and that is getting a 401. I love LS engines and Chevy's... but AMC's are to rare, unique and under appreciated to abuse like that... should've kept it all AMC imho.

Man that's a beautiful looking Javelin guys but maybe you could've swap a 392 Hemi in it vs another GM LS LS but hey a 655 HP out of an LSX427 is really impressive.
