Just got mine last week. My grandpa was a watch inspector at the Hamilton factory in Lancaster, PA so it has a personal connection to me as well. Not a fan of bracelets in general, so I got a NATO strap and it works beautifully. Lume isn't great, but I'm not a vampire so...

Can you buy the bracelet to put on a Hamilton that came with a leather strap?

We can help with that! Reach out at mail@righttime.com

Great looking watch. Wondering if the links are screwed, not pin and collar.

They are pins and collars.

Would you do some light swimming with this watch?

For sure! 100m is plenty for swimming.

Picking nits here, but man, I wish this came in a more period correct 36mm. It would be on my wrist already.

guess you are lucky, they just released a 36mm version. just ordered mine

These look amazing but you didn’t tell us the lug width, weight, if the bracelet tapers and how many micro adjustment’s there is.

Bracelet lug width? Any taper?

38mm, 20mm lug taper to 18mm (I wish it tapered to 16mm)

Nice vid. This would be perfect to me for what it is if the lume was stronger.

Great video. Would love for Hamilton to make a 40mm KFA which would look perfect on my 7.25 inch wrists for those of us in between skinny and thick wrists. I already have the 38mm Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic in black and it is fantastic, but it's starting to look a bit small on my wrists as I train my arms more at the gym. 🤣 I'm beginning to find 39mm and 40mm to be of nice proportion for me currently. Maybe I'll trade in my 38 for the 42 and just grow into it 🤣

Titanium is not expensive at all. I wonder why you point out that much that this watch has such a good price.

For a fully titanium (case and bracelet) with an automatic Swiss movement, this is about as affordable as the industry provides!

@@righttimewatches ok, it's affordable but it's still not cheap. What about the precision of the movement?

Swiss time piece with a titanium case and bracelet, that beautiful blue dial (color, design, indices,) and 100m water resistance for approx. $1,000. This is real value. Sure,…$1,000 is a lot of money,…but this is a great everyday watch.

very nice watches. finally a beautiful Hamilton on a bracelet! the bracelet of the khaki field mechanical line is just horrible. i guess it's because it's sandblasted.

The lack of AR is a big problem, especially with a domed crystal. The real question is why Hamilton refuses to use AR and then compounds the felony by slapping the watch with a reflection grabbing domed crystal. And then makes it worse by having crappy lume. And then makes it even more problematic by charging over one thousand bucks for a watch that has no AR can't be seen in low light and has crappy lume. So, why is this a good watch (especially since you can get watches for under $200 with great AR and great lume)?

I first looked at this watch in a jewelry store with really bright spot lighting, I’m sure to make diamonds sparkle. The glare of the watch looked awful in the store and I was very concerned about it. In daily use, it’s nothing close to what it was in the store, and to my eyes, it doesn’t bother me. I’m sure there is better AR out there, and you are 100% right about the lackluster lume. Neither bothers me much and I’m a happy owner. I wish you the same for your watches.

It’s a great watch because it looks nice, is comfortable and light, keeps good time, and has a long power reserve. Lume is overrated. I rarely ever use it in daily life, and most field watches don’t prioritize it because it isn’t useful in mountaineering. I would prefer better AR.

@@PatrickKuehn I get your points, but what I don't understand is why a big company like Hamilton can't do better AR and lume. I understand lume may not be important to some but great lume is readily available on sub-$200 watches. Why can't a $900 watch have both?
@PatrickKuehn4 ай бұрын
@RaymondRakubian 1) Hamilton's field watches were designed for military usage and used in world wars. Bright lume created a safety liability so usage was intentionally conservative. That is also why most field watches have brushed cases instead of polished ones. They could of course update this detail for modern usage, or in customer pieces. 2) Can you think of examples of watches with printed dials and without indexes or pips which have excellent lume? I hypothesize there is a limitation on how well lume can shine when printed because the luminous material must be mixed with inks and other required additives. I can think of other dials with numerals on them with better lume like the Rolex Explorer or even the Longines Zulu Times but they are metal numbers filled with lume and not printed dials. I'm not attempting to make excuses for Hamilton. Their lack of AR under the crystals is annoying to me also, especially since I have a 38 mm Murph and it does have some AR (not good AR but some). I'm aware of aftermarket sapphires for the 38 mm KF but not the 42 mm. usa.crystaltimes.net/shop/products/ct098-hamilton-khaki-field-38mm-double-dome-sapphire-crystal/
