Your friend, Pon catches fishes, rear ducks to sell, cooks for his family, while keeping an eye on his daughters’ safety, especially Leila playing on the tree. Most heartwarming to watch one scene when Pon’s daughter Leila uttered to him: “are you okay, my Dad?” Obviously it’s a rewarding moment to Pon, to be validated in appreciation by his daughter. This is heart warming. I grew up in Cumana Toco in Trinidad and a Tobago in the Caribbean. We had healthy foods like fish and provision and vegetables which we grew. We were a close knit family. The world has changed and people are messed up. No love .

Watching the interaction between all people- kids and adults...was very interesting. I like how the kids could play together and were just kids...the art at the walls- wonderful. Carina could make kind of business out of her skills. She lived in Thailand for 16 years, have two thai kids and haven't learned Thai? What did she do all this time, lay in the hammock and paint on the walls? While her husband takes care of the animals, the cooking and the catching food. I'm afraid she didn't try hard enough with the language, after 16 years she is still a tourist. What a missed opportunity, but they seem to be happy. I suppose my opinion does not matter in the grand scheme of things.

Mayan, I appreciate you because you learned Thai and it is pretty good. I think it is important to learn the language. Also, I think of all these women who you feature married to Thai men, I think you understand the culture the most, and the least judgemental. I think as a Jew, you understand what it is like to be part of a diaspora and as an Israeli. You get both worlds, so it gives you special insight that is reflected in the editing of the videos. I think it is interesting to see the contrast between Mon, Pon, and Watt (Lilly's husband). These men are from the South and that is an entirely different world than the rest of Thailand with a set of unique challenges. Good job. Mon's good nature is infectious. His charisma really shines.

Mon ànd Pon is Muslim man, where in Watt case,he is Christian convert. Deep down these two Muslim man heart,they still have the Muslim feeling in them, trust me, I know how it feels because I am a malay Muslim women who was married to a Swiss man until he passed away few years ago. It is a different story if we are far away from our home country. I called this a silence story , but we keep it our heart.....

I have been all over the world, and not all Muslims are as tolerant and good-natured as these men. Watt is a different story. In a sense, you are right, because the two Muslim men did not sell out, and the Buddhist man did. And now Watt is emasculated by his wife. It will not end well for that marriage. I have more respect for Mon and Pon, that is for sure.
