Hi Joseph this is a dream life for me as i am a big fan of country life and sick and tired of city life. As a farmer myself i have a few questions. 1- Is there any farmers market nearby to sell the fresh produce? Or it would that be cahllenging to sell the fresh produce?at a very low price due to not having access to a proper market ? 2- Is the locality is immigrant friendly as i am an immigrant with moderate level of portugese language is that locality is friendly enough and how is the crime rate etc. I will really appreciate your response. Regards Bobby
@hemplar Жыл бұрын
1. Don't think anybody would buy this property to actually farm and sell the almonds. I think the price is way too high to ever compensate it by selling almonds. This is more like an investment or if you want a chill life in the countryside. Btw almonds you can store and could be transported far away therefore you are not tied to farmers market nearby. 2. Ive been to Portugal couple times and my experience is that locals as super friendly and open, they also speak good english in general.

Just wondering what the temperatures are through the year here
@petervermeer.4904 Жыл бұрын
In the summer around 30 degrees celsius, it can get up to 40 degrees celsius. (that is 104 fahrenheit). Autumn and spring i think you can expect 10 to 20 degrees celsius. Could also be 25 degrees some sunny days. In the winter you can have snow and frost, specially close to a mountain, and maybe lets say average around 10 degrees. More or less you have four seasons, which is not everywhere on the world. Also, last year overall was dry, but in average Portugal also gets plenty of rain specially in the winter. Algarve in the South of Portugal is hotter, and dryer. It's closer to North Africa, and that is pretty dry.
