A follow up on this would be interesting, as in dyno results.

One could easily argue MBE cylinder heads are the best race heads on the market today. They still offer these heads but thru more CAD and R&D have made an improved billet version for Ford and Chevy. Not being constrained by the physical limits of a casting (even an excellent one) gives much more freedom. Admittedly their heads are more than what 95% of ppl need, but if u need max effort, u can't go wrong there.

The key to long lasting powerful motor is make sure you use a street solid roller tight lash cam. Avoid and drag, or circle track cams. Street rollers are designed to last on a street strip engine. You won't make quite as much top end, but your motor will still be fast as fck and last 50k miles without a lifter or valvetrain failure. Is 50hp worth a motor only lasting 3k miles on the street, not to me.

How to offset that loss of 50 hp ..plumb the roll cage as a pressure tank for NoS...

That block is not Windsor or a Clevo. Loosely based on a Ford. The heads defy description! Exhaust side is vaguelly Clevo but the intake is totally custom. Currently assembling a 351C with CHI heads. All is recognisable though the intakes are considerably higher. Though they must be turning those engines very hard to use those ports.

If you’ve never seen the outlaw late models or super late models. Check it out. This is the series he speaks of. People call them hillbilly’s...😂🤣😂. It’s meant to be derogatory, I don’t see it that way. Them boys are smart as hell when it comes to building dirt cars!!! So fun to watch!! Just look up Jonathan Davenport. They call him Superman and for good reason. He’s just smooth and smart. Aggressive when he needs to be, but that guy just plain gets it done. Hope you check it out. ✌🏼

nice! I'm surprised people are still developing new heads for the old windsor style engines. Must be the cost of the newer fr9 style engine that is keeping people away from it for dirt racing.

i have herd they banned the FR-9 . Would not surprise me it always happens when a Ford begins to win too much. Can anyone verify

I know that the bore spacing and head bolt pattern of 302, 351W & 351C are all the same. Windsor and Cleveland have different water passages between head and block. I'd search for a head that works for Boss 302 as they were modified Cleveland heads. That's all I can remember. Been out of the game too long to know for sure. Hope that helps you

These are not streetable engines that will last long on a sreet car in traffic and driving for hrs and high throttle blasts. Cam is a huge drag roller cam. Huge spring pressures and high lift drag cam just wastes valvetrain parts on street car. This is a pure race motor. Wont last for shit on street and no bottom end and horrible street manners. Spark plugs will constantly foul in traffic, lifters will be beaten to shreds, valvetrain will be hammered with low rpm street driving. Good engine for racing, but thats it.
@badass6.0powerstroke103 жыл бұрын
Don't think this was designed to be a "Streetable" engine, of course it has a big Solid Roller, you keep saying Drag Solid Roller, but it's for a Late Model Dirt Set-up. Sure things would be Way Different if if was being built as a Street Engine, or Drag Race Engine, or whatever type of class racing, Hell those Heads probably won't be any good in a "Streetable" Set-up. There a straight up Race Head, probably good with Big Cubes or Lot's of Air being Pressurized getting blown thru it.
@rono30453 жыл бұрын
Not one component on that motor is from Ford that's actually a dart small block.it's basically none of the big three it's not a Chevy it's not a Dodge it's not a Ford it's a dart motor

You could say the same thing about a top fuel hemi. In other words, who cares. This thing is an aftermarket Windsor. Keith black hemi is based on the Chrysler 426 hemi.
