Glad you liked it, sugar, although we’re not reacting in the regular KZbin sense: we’ve been listening to this song and album since the day it was released!

The Sledgehammer single on the radio led me into this album in 1986. I've no idea why and how, but this track .... the sound, the voice, the bass, the depth of the mix. The whole album was just such a breath of fresh air in amongst the day to day sounds. I believe every album has it's own happy volume, the one it sounds best at. It varies. This track as an opener needs to be LOUD and everything falls into place. Keep up the good work !

Hi guys !! Excellent song... excellent album ! I remember... a long time ago, i was a big fan of Phil Collins, and Genesis (era 80's)... Discover PG with Sledgehammer, Don't give up and Big time (era MTV), in 1986 in France, but without really paying attention to his work. A year later, I go to a teenage camp, and an instructor, during a discussion asks me what I'm listening to musically .. My answer was Daniel Balavoine, France Gall and Michel Berger (French singers), Phil Collins and Genesis for international artists... - Do you know Peter Gabriel ? - Yes.. a bit ! She tells me about the Genesis period with Peter, and his departure from the group ... She hands me a tape and says: - - Listen to this, and give me your opinion. It was live 1983 !! First slap !! A few days later, I bought the cassette for the album So ... second slap !!! ..That's when Phil got behind... Later, when I bought his first records, I realized that I had already fallen in love with songs by Peter. 1978 White shadow ... I was 8 years old !! 1980 Games without frontiers, Biko ... I love his work on sounds and rhythms.
