You can use a .45 sized bronze bore brush to polish and loosen up the chambers in the cylinder; an easy fix, and better for cleaning.

I have this exact model. I really like it. Go ahead and change out the grip to the Hogue - I did and it's a vast improvement. That waffle pattern on the back of the grip actually causes pain with full power loads. The Hogue eliminates that and also adds just a tad more gripping area. I find that the ports really do mitigate recoil. I've come up with an all around load that has proven very accurate and not as punishing to your hand as the full power loads - 240 Missouri Bullet high tech coated 'Keith' swc bullets - these are hard cast 18 Brinell hardness. The propellant is Alliant Power Pistol to give 1100 fps from the revolver - 'book' velocity. They still give you a satisfying thump and would really do for just about any use for this revolver - save for grizzly bear defense which I would go ahead and load with a max load of H110 instead. But the bullets will penetrate deeply in a straight line.

@@theoriginalOSOK already changed it! Lol. I order the Hogue for both of these small revolvers at the same time. I actually changed them both back to do the review videos. 🙄😉

my tracker I've had no trouble that I can remember even with flattening primers loads which were Winchester factory ammunition. I've reloaded some slightly flattened primer test loads. my tracker .my 180gr xtp, Longshot powder 14.2 gr , 1334 fps 771ft/lb because of health issues 20 yd offhand fist size groups but sometimes smaller. my 240gr xtp 1150 fps Longshot powder 11.5gr 674 + ft/lb . the 180gr xtp at 44mag speeds in outher firearms is devastating on deer. I took many using this bullet .this is also my self defense load. I might get a can of aa 9 and bring the 240gr xtp up to 1275fps, 866 ft/ lb energy power like your load. papa wishing you well 😊

@@johnnymccann5607 AS#9 is a great powder. I use it for a lot of my heavy 10mm loads to. Just got my first pound of Ramshot Enforcer last week. Used it for the 2 Barnes PBX test coming up. It done really well too for max loads.

@@MisterEdd79 👍🏻. Same here. The .357 in 6.5” that I was using in my other gel block test is rifled all the way to the end as well. I didn’t realize this in the .44 till I got it home.

Nice review. I have the same revolver and always liked it quite a bit. I agree with your assessment of the Trigger. I don't think Taurus gets enough credit on their Triggers.

@@corybrown8422 Agreed. Mine really needs all 5 cylinders polished up though. I was shooting one of the last 4 test loads today and had to pull a case out with my needle nose pliers it was so tight for the ejector rid to push out.
