Don't bring a 22 to a magnum show down with a bear

I do have a question for you. If you think the sale of a .44 should be illegal how come you have one?!?!
@sirhc9999915 жыл бұрын
You do know a 9mm would have the same effect right
@sirhc9999915 жыл бұрын

??? Fact is, the .44 Mag is seldom used for self defense or home defense and shouldn't be. A 44 Mag can penetrate 3 or 4 or more walls in a house or apartment, making it unsafe from that standpoint. But it's a great cartridge for hunting game like deer and pigs. So the "argument" isn't really applicable.

@tubamaxima what was your first gun

Well your little clip here has shown me that it is fine for me to leave my .44 mag at home and just carry my .22LR. Sorry to say but I hike in bear county and a .22LR is not going to cut it.

OK, no offense taken. You sure know how to push buttons all right.

Here's an idea. If you think guns are "bad". Don't buy or own one. Are big cars "bad" too? How about men with big fists? Are big knives evil?

I''ve seen a .22 lr bounce off of a fat dude in a sweatshirt from 40ft away

The .22 LR is terribly inadequate for self defense and should only be used if it's all you have. The .44 Magnum, while excessive, is perfectly acceptable. In defense of yourself or your family, your objective is to stop the aggressor by whatever means are at hand.

All that this video proves to me is that if someone breaks in to your house with the intent to cause you, or a loved one, harm you are going to reach for that 44 mag before you go for the 22 lr. Is .44 a bit of overkill for self defense? Yes, you can get the job done quite well with a .45 ACP. Should the government be the ones to tell you how you protect yourself or your family? Hell no!

A twenty two is not perfectly suitable for self defense and hearing protection should always be worn when firing even a .22. That being said a small car may be suitable for you but may not be suitable for those with a large family. The beauty of Capitalism and our once great country is the Constitution and the Second Amendment. If you don't want a big car or a big gun don't buy one. Don't try and regulate the rest of us. We kicked the British out for that already.

I use a .44 magnum in my house, 9mm on the street, but I would carry the .44 in a heart beat if I wasnt worried about hitting someone behind the bad guy. BTW a .44 will not blow a person in half, a 5.56x45 nato has almost twice the energy of a .44 magnum and it is known for its lack of stopping power I know the .44 bullet has more mass, but I am talking about blowing someone in half no it will not it will just put a big hole in you

.22 LR for self defense? nahh...bullets are expensive, shoot once.... .44 Mag is my choice..

Tubamaxima ............You have ALOT to learn about self defence and a HELL OF A LOT MORE to learn about ballistics!!
@VDragulaV15 жыл бұрын
Well I have a .22 a 9mm and a .44 magnum. The .44 is a lever action rifle and out hunting if I come across a bear I would much rather have the .44 than a .22 or the 9mm! So for that self defense the .44 wins. As far as in my home well I wouldn't try using a rifle in close proximity for self defense and I honestly don't want to clean up the mess afterwrds either which is the reason for my 9mm handgun. A .22 can get you killed if the criminal has a gun and doesn't die when you shoot him!! Period!
