I bought a 1971 challenger RT FROM Mr norm, this was one of 10 that he made it had a shaker hood and a small wing it had 488 gears in the rear and was unbeatable light to light and if I told you what HP was to the wheels you would call me a liar

These were actually one of the fastest cars around back in the day. It would be the fastest if you put a supercharger on it like a hellcat and traction bars, and some more stuff to the transmission. What a wet dream of a car for me beautiful man

Since that is the FAST racing series....I'm pretty sure that trans has been sent to Liberty gears for ProShifting.

Yes it has, liberty faceplated 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. That was the best money i spent, once you learn how to shift it you never want a synchronized trans again

@@Bdoyle909 Trust me....I know!! I've been racing stick shifts since 1988 when I was 14 in my brother's 69 Chevelle SS 396 Liberty prepped M22 4 speed. I bought a 86 5.0 mustang coupe 5 speed in 1990 when I turned 16. Still have it, me and my brother raced the Fun Ford series in the 90's. I sent my first of MANY T5's to Liberty in 1991 for ProShifting. Want race a box without it being Liberty prepped!!

Back then in the video it was a solid cam 493 stroker with ported heads and 3.91 gears. Currently it has a 505, bigger solid roller cam, better iron heads, more compression and 3.73 gears and has been 10.92 at 127mph

How big is that engine ? I know that F.A.S.T. series allows stroking , and roller cams etc , as long as the outside looks stock .

In this video the car had a 440 stroked to 493 10.5to1 compression and a mild solid roller cam but currently it has a 13to1 505 with a bigger cam but yes its a FAST car so it all looks original except the ATI vibration damper which you have to look for to see its there

AFAIK all T/A are 340 with a thicker block webbing, adjustable offset rocker arms, larger valves, oil pan, and oil pump. I've only seen one TA before and that was a long time ago.

The video was from the first engine i put in the car, it made 480hp and 610ftlbs at the tires, i changed the short block a last year and that made 530hp and 647ftlbs. The new engine has been best of 10.97 at 125.6

I don’t know if its bad but i never thought it was good, I figured the less time it spends at 6000rpm the longer it will live and brakes are much cheaper and easier to replace than engine parts

Since im running stock intake, head, and exhaust manifold castings with a stroker crankshaft, it makes great power up until 5800rpm and after that on the dyno it falls on its face, i used to shift at 6200 then started shifting at 57-5800 like in the video and it picked up .2 of a second in the 1/4

I shifted it at 5800, with a stroker crankshaft and stock intake, head, and exhaust manifold castings you can only rev it so high before it falls on its face and just makes noise

Actually not a ton of gear, it has 3.73s and a stock tire which is kinda short about 26inch but its going 117-118mph through finish

Yup it’s a 69 1/2 roadrunner both cars are 440 six pack cars, road runner is stock stroke automatic trans, challenger is a stroker engine. Both cars ran about 11.7ish, roadrunner went about 116mph my challenger went about 120mph. More recently my challenger has had engine changes and been 10.97 at 125.6
