Happy New Year Dave - thanks for all the videos over the years - I have watched and liked them all. I'm only recently registered on KZbin to be able to subscribe - with out knowing it you rebuilt an IH 374 engine for my B-275 a couple of years ago. I don't think I could have done it without your videos which I re-watched one every time before I went out to the garage to work on the tractor. Thanks again

Hello Canadian Redneck, following the videos on the channel, I really like mechanics of old tractors, and whenever I can I follow your work. . This way Jose Goncalves,City Bagé, RS, Brazil, Border with Uruguay, campaign region and plantations with many tractors and agricultural machines. Cultivated crops, irrigated rice, corn, soybeans, sorghum and pasture for livestock.

Sure appreciate the video I look forward to them. *I have a 444 that when you push the clutch all the way down the PTO does not disengage. I have to start it with the PTO engaged when I use it. I sure would like to see a video on how to fix that! I have tried lowering the rototiller with the clutch down hoping when it engaged the ground it would break the clutch free. But it doesn't and I can't drive forward with the clutch all the way down since it disengages the transmission.

I will try to do a clutch adjustment video when the weather warms again in the spring. Thanks for watching!

Great stuff! I’ve got a 1974, 444 and just blew the steel hydraulic pressure line that bolts to the pump with the two Allen screws. The dealer tells me there no longer available and wonder if you might know were I can get one. The one on the tractor looks like it’s been welded a number of times before I got the tractor. Along with that, my tractor doesn’t have any park brake assembly either. Looks like the right fender got crunched up a bit and I’m assuming they removed the assembly because the brakes were locked up on it when it happened. Tractors pretty useless with out a park brake, my property is pretty hilly and would love to have one. Thanks for any help you can give me in locating these items. Jim, Petawawa, Ontario

Hi sir , great video(s) you make , ive got an 444 , I saw this tractor you work on got a newer type starter than ive got on mine , can you say something about that ? Best regards from norway 👍
@CanadianRedneck15 Жыл бұрын
As far as I know all of the diesel 444s in Canada came with this style of starter, the gassers used a "bendix" style, no solenoid on the starter and a relay on the firewall. The diesel starter will work on the gas by changing the wires out. Thanks for watching!

I'm assuming the increased clearance in the mains dropped the oil pressure at the big ends - but I'm wondering what started the chain (re)action. Low oil? Too long between oil changes leading to deteriorated lubricity? Oil thinned with fuel, again low lubricity? Worn out pump? Wondering what conclusion)s you've come to? If you don't sort out the root cause it will happen again. Videos are just about the right length, no need to show unscrewing something in great detail, plenty of channels for that. Take care friend. 🇬🇧🎅

I believe it was just hours on the engine, oil pressure was good once the engine was rebuilt. THere could have been an instance of low/poor oil at some point but I think it was just plain worn. Thanks for watching!

Va salut. Am și eu un ih 444 și acum câțiva ani iam schimbat garnitura de ciuloasa ca sulfat în radiator ,iar acum câteva zile am observat ulei in radiatorul de răcire care ar fi cauza.?

Oil in the coolant could be from a bad head gasket, cracked head, or leaking sleeve o-rings. Thanks for watching!
