Cheerio Captain and Randay. Jack is beaming ear to ear having just watch this episode. Thank you so much for the shout out. We’re on the way down to the Southampton Boat Show as we speak. Hopefully we’ll all meet up at a boat show one day, or better still out on the big blue. Gentlemen, you've set the bar impossibly high already. However, I do believe that this episode is one of your best. Partly because of the witty back and forth between you both and partly because Puffin effortlessly stole almost every scene. Puffin is that rarest of man's creations where form and function are equally perfect. The owner deserves huge recognition for how well the boat presents. Motor sailors aren't really my thing. But I think I've fallen in love. This episode was a huge and unexpected treat. Thank you so much. Cheerio, from one of King Charles III's loyal subjects in Blighty ;)

Hi Captain. I've built and sailed model sail boats for over 30 years and they are big fun. Getting a fleet of one design boats together for a day of racing is a great way to spend a little time. I have a small shop (emphasis on small) where I build various sizes of boats under the title of American Racing Yachts. I'll send some pictures of a couple of them. Thanks for recognizing model boats. There are a lot of us out there who really enjoy them.

Captain, I think we all get excited on Thursday afternoons. When you stop getting excited about seeing a new boat, that will be a very sad day indeed. Wow that engine room made me think of the engine rooms on the Nordhavn's we all drool over. Love how you talk about going to school with the elder Schaefer, probably a distant relative. I love all of the care and thought that have gone into the upper deck and structure. This boat really seems to be built like a little tank. What a great little boat to do the loop in. I can see this going around without the mast to get around all of the low overpasses. The main salon seems like a great example of making the most out of limited space. And he can carry a tune ! The aft cabin is truly cavernous. It's not a show piece for cabinetry, but it would be a luxurious boat for a couple or even 2 friends to make the loop in. I have to wonder if the previous owners had planned to ship their mast somewhere down on the gulf so they could continue under sail. All in all looks like a completely sound coastal cruiser needing a dingy to complete her and likely a boat that if I were younger and more experienced I wouldn't be afraid to take into blue water, with a little education provided by Captain Q. Cheers to you and Randay for another fine video along with fine historical color. You always make my Thursdays a little brighter.

Built by Priors at Burnham on Crouch UK when building Wooden yachts was becoming too expensive. Back in the day Priors built some wonderful wooden yachts. The Coaster was probably their last go at continuing yacht building to stay in business. They did however build the very competitive cold molded Dragon hulls at Petticrows when they were at Burnham. Alas Priors have now closed their doors. The “Coaster” and that is what it was built for, has a cruiser stern.

Howdy Captain Q & Randy, Chef Phil here again. Wow! This is a cool boat. I must ask but what's the difference between a motorsailer boat and a regular sailboat? Is it that the engine on a motorsailer is significantly larger than on a regular sailboat? Also, how can one tell if a sailboat is OK or "certified" for bluewater sailing? How do you know this one is? Are you saying that on this boat you use the motor more than the sails? I really liked the unique design with this boat. Love that aft cabin. The solid/permanent design of the wheelhouse/cockpit was cool but didn't really look like a sailboat cockpit. The wood on deck and below is beautiful for sure. I was laughing out loud when you uncovered the Dinty More on the stove and what a surprise to have found chestnuts too!🤣 My chef brain was immediately activated and I think we should roast those puppies and then sautee with some pearl onions, bacon and honey as a fall side dish to that can of DM. What do you think of that CQ? It would even pair nicely with that bottle of wine in the fridge! 😁 Anyway, thanks for the grand tour again. I'm really enjoying your videos because I learn so much. I love how you name things/parts on the boats and how Randy is so kind to even have on screen descriptions or explanations of what you're referring to. I also like when Randy politely stops you when you mention a certain word/part of the boat that, perhaps not everyone understands because some of us are newbies to the hobby. That's really helpful and appreciated. I think this may be a neat video idea: perhaps use Randy's boat and do a walk through and go over all the parts and descriptions of them and explain why they're there and what they're used for. Just an idea, especially for us newbies😊. On another note, will you and Randy be showing up at any boat shows this fall and if so would you mind disclosing this info? Love to meet you both and talk about sailboats and more palatable ways to serve up Dinty More😆. I'm currently in the Philippines but should be back by the end of October, Lord willing. Thank you both once again for the great video and a really interesting, beautiful boat. You both take care and God bless!
