I got my aloe 5 years ago. It stands about 3 ft tall and produces pups all the time. The key is not to over water and let it be pot bound. I water mine about 1/2 cup to 1 cup water near roots about once a month and I have it sitting in a south window where it gets late afternoon sun. Not a lot of sun but just enough. This is of course how I care for mine and it thrives! I transplanted it last summer and gave all the pups away and within 3 months I had 3 pups now I have 6. I won’t transplant again for about 3 years unless it quits producing.

Oh my goodness so fun! I treat my aloe vera the same as a succulent or cactus! Fairly minimal water and very bright and even direct light! That is a pothos njoy and you did get a great deal mine was $10 but it was much smaller than that, also I do notice those tend to damage the most because of the white sectoral variegation, I think it's just more sensitive. I also have a pearls and Jade... the difference is the white portions on pearls and Jade have little tiny flecks of green whereas njoy is just chunky white 💚

The aloe vera is a staple so that's a good snag, that was the first plant I ever bought for myself. Killed the first one by overwatering, but the second one has been going strong for a few years! Needs lots of light, nothing you can't handle :)

Congrats on getting your Aloe. Can have direct sunlight and told to water monthly once, but I sprinkle some water once a week and one heavy watering once a month. My Aloe is doing ok. It's gel good for not having burn mark, good for hair, skin, cancer etc etc 👍

Your pothos is an N’Joy! The The white margins of an N’Joy have no spots but the Pearls & Jade do. I learned to tell them apart by thinking of those spots as “pearls”, hence Pearls & Jade. It worked for me and I’m sure it will work for you too. Great video, btw!! 🪴💚🪴

With the aloe, make sure it has fast draining soil. Let dry out between watering.

Pothos n'joy is thicker or compact and clear cut green and white varigation, no splashes.

Hi Ashley I, I surprisingly love Harris Teeter for plants. I was upset when I went to Walmart, and their cactus were all damaged. I rescued 3 cactus. They were in such poor shape, 2 out of 3 fell from their pots because the soil was more like desert sand. So far so good, they are still alive. My son knocked 2 off the table, I repotted them, then I knocked over one I had (JUST) repotted. I had always wanted a fern, I found one for $10.99 at Harris Teeter. I love your channel.

Crazy jealous of that cane begonia. I saw Carmen Whitehead found a beautiful one at Home Depot recently. I need to hit up the box stores again. The pothos is pothos n joy. The aloe takes super bright light (they grow as landscape plants in full sun here) and they store a TON of water in the leaves so you really wanna make sure the soil's dried out before you water again. Super easy though.

I love Desert Roses too. Interestingly, they require careful watering as they are prone to shedding leaves. I’ve tried to grow them at least half a dozen times, and in my opinion, they are on the temperamental side...needing lots of sun and warmth too. Anyone here have good success with them? Anita, I’d love to see you try one out, and get your thoughts. They ARE very beautiful in bloom.

That "new growth" is actually some aloe vera pups! The best kind of new growth!! So if you want, you can separate them to propagate them. Or just leave them 😊 My aloe loves bright direct light, but you need to acclimate it to the direct sun or it will get burned. Just let them dry out completely before watering. If the tips start to kind of flatten/shrink in, that means it's been too dry for too long so it starting using the water storage in it's leaves. Also, I'm pretty sure that's an n joy. Pearls and Jade have more speckles and that variegation looks pretty solid.
