Over the course (no pun intended) of 3 years I found 21,000 golf balls during my nightly walks around 2 lakes on an adjacent golf course. 50 boxes x 400 balls each x $100 for good ones...%50 for color ones...$25 for 1 hits. Cleaned them the EXACT same way...no damage to WASHER.

So sorry I didn't see this comment much earlier. Thanks for posting. Yes, there are legitimate reasons to do this. We just wanted them clean and there were so many of them. Thought this would be a good way to clean them all at once. Aside from the catastrophic balance disaster, it cleaned them up really nice!
