Hello Melissa and Mike I,ve been enjoying your videos now a big fan. As a retired arborist i love your property and your firewood biz. Now i had to move into a assisted living apartment now I feel consistantly bored wanting to get back into the tree work, you are very inspirational for me. Bigredscotsman says keep up the great life all my love to you and your family thank you!

Did I here a FREE b/fast in there somewhere? I would've showed up for that! one! Early bird gets the worm, job well done... Okay, I got my OWTM's KZbin fix, I have work to do now as I sit here watching the grass dry out from last night's rain... Did the R&R on the mower blades yesterday, all sharpened up. Greased both the riding mower & the big tractor. I have load # (7) of last years storm damage brush to haul out with the trailer this morning. When done, if ambition prevails, I will do this years 1st cut on (6) acres... Important point you have made Mike with respect to getting things done. I maintain a journal on my completed daily duties around the property. It is amazing how much work can be done over the course of a week by simply doing a little each day as it really does add up when I look back on it... Thanks, Bill on the Hill... :~)

Hi Morgans! Just a small suggestion for you while splitting. When I'm splitting that much, I will keep a small plastic tote under the back for all the little kindling pieces. Makes the best fire starter!

Good morning to you all. Nice work out to start the day off with. Good time to share some family fun with friends. The splitter did the job right, like you said, if you had loaded the one chunk correctly it would have busted it fine. That happens to most folks at some point. You recovered fine. Thanks for sharing and when you absolutely want the job completed call on Hunter to help !!! Don't quit till it's all completed. Keep em in line Hunter ;-)

Hahaha. When I watched the end of the video before this one, I thought to myself that you did not have enough wood. I’ve never used a wood splitter. I always do it the old fashion way. Ax, maul and a wedge. But the truth is, what you guys got done in 45 minutes, would have taken me a couple of days. After watching this video, wish I could afford a splitter.

Hey Mike, I know you don't need the support, but I just wanted to say thank you for making these videos. I enjoy them and I don't care how many times you "touch the wood" or what your process is or whatever someone else might complain about. It seems to me you explain things very well and if I didn't like your videos I wouldn't have subscribed or even watch them. Also, thanks for explaining why you weren't using the 6 way wedge because I was wondering the same thing.
